31 Jan 2017 google start mark http sites "non-secure"

Starting in January 2017 the Chrome browser will start warning visitors to any website that collects credit cards or where you login to a members area that they are not secure and indicated by red triangle if they are not HTTPS.

wonder if it just flags the password box or any text field will flag

you could always use a normal onkeypress even to astrik the text box out so it looks like a password field.

There you go crying again. You're representing a hosting company in your sig and think it's "a fucking headache" to add an SSL?

I have tested this and changing a password field to type=text instead of type=password removes the not secure 'warning'.
The not secure part is displayed in the address bar. For now it's not very prominent but I'm sure it will be in a year or so.
