Why weren't Trump campaign speeches like his inaugural speech?

If he had spoken more like that he would have won by a landslide. His failure was in not enlisting the coloured and Latino vote. The largest groups of poor who have suffered the most under previous administrations.

He targeted a specific kind of people when he was in campaign. Probably he was trying to secure the vote of this people and considered others not so important in accomplishing his goal.

Everyone knows you can't be successful if you target everybody, you have to filter, and whites are 72%(ish) of USA population, while blacks and latino combined make 28%(ish).

he´s already destroying America with regards to Japan & China, the US´s largest creditors & promises to build these new roads and bridges, where´s he borrowing that money from. Because if he continues to pull out from the rest of the world anymore, the US will be poorer than ever before!

Lol at "Obama did a lot", he was the absolute king of all talk and no action. Obama failed to deliver on over 90% of his promises. I'm sure you'll find a way to blame the Republican congress, but the bottom line is, he never was able to back up much of anything he promised.

Once Trump made immigration reform as part of his platform, there was never going to be any way for him to "enlist the latino vote". Wall or no wall, latinos are just too sensitive about immigration reform, even if it just means a more concerted effort to keep out the illegals.

Every politician in the US says they are for bringing back jobs and creating better jobs and increasing personal income. Most of them, however, do little or nothing to actually follow up on that. We will have to wait and see with Trump.

First...Do not mix China and Japan, they're totally different.

Second...Wrong. They owe us.
Anyway, yeah, we are trading useless pieces of paper for Chinese junk.
And then the Chinese are coming here and spending the paper.
Good so far.

We just want China to buy more of our junk without putting tariffs on.
You do know that they tax our junk but we don't tax theirs?

That's a very racist view of Americans. IMO being unemployed is more important than the colour of a man's skin.

Clinton never promised to strengthen borders, stop the US being the customer/dumping ground for Third World goods, in fact, while she's been in office she has worked hard in the opposite direction.

That's the problem with you left wing nuts, you're more concerned over people's rights than giving them jobs.

Agree. Under previous administrations the US has got into terrible debt by exporting jobs, losing tax revenue and putting people on benefits. While they did that they allowed the infrastructure to deteriorate to a point that fixing it will be very expensive.

As for pulling out from the rest of the world. Pull your head out of the sand.

Maybe you're right. The migrant vote in the UK is terrified they can't bring more of their village to the UK.
