Trump Deniers...New CNN Poll...

Remember what we've been hearing for months: Trump has a "ceiling"

Marco Rubio on the campaign trail just yesterday saying that "2/3's" of Republicans don't want Trump.

All the pundits and political "experts" saying that Trump was "stuck" at 30%

Brand new CNN poll out this morning.

Trump just moved to 49% nationwide. More than ALL the other candidates combined.

Closest to him is Rubio at 16%!

So once again...the Republican Party establishment takes a kick right in the nuts and the media is proven 100% wrong.

2/3, 30%, 49% of 1,000.

Is far less than 1/3, 10%, 16% of 5,000.

What are the actual numbers of Republican v Democrat votes?

I was amazed listening to South Caroliners being interviewed on the news here. They were saying how they want a person who isn't part of the political establishment and owned by big business. I'll bet a cent to a dollar they have a long history of voting for these guys.

Nothing will change by voting Trump. They have to vote over and over again for people outside the grip of big business. Which is something they have never done.

Don't know what you mean with the random numbers you just posted.

But right now the Republican turnout at primaries is setting new record highs. At the same time the Democrat turnout is far below the 2008 Democrat primaries.

Nobody is passionate at all right now about Hillary. Whether that will change in the general election won't be known until after the conventions. But I can't foresee how Hillary is going to energize voters to come out for her.
MAYBE she could try a "Fear" campaign and try to get voters out to vote AGAINST Trump.

But we all saw how well that did when the Republicans tried it against Obama in 2012. It failed miserably.

Anyway, I hope that answers your somewhat vague question (still not sure what all those numbers you randomly posted meant)

Not voting Trump. But I am LOVING what he is doing to the political establishment.

And of course laughing at the fake liberals on GFY is always fun.

Fair enough. There IS a certain entertainment factor. I'm still hoping that all this weirdness somehow forces a way in for the Libertarian party on ballots and debates in the future. I really think that if Americans got to hear that message at the same level that they are bombarded with the D vs R messages, that the party policies would pull in enough support that it would force the other parties to move in that direction in order to keep their constituencies.

I only vote for people that share my views. If I were forced to only vote for a Democrat or a Republican I would vote Trump in a heartbeat.

But instead, I will vote for the guy with whom I agree with on a lot more issues: Gary Johnson.

A vote for Johnson is a vote not cast against Hillary.

Living in California, you end up feeling like your vote means shit. Hell the winner is called before they count our votes every year. That needs to change!!

Never understood that votyng system. It seems too prone to turn into a fraud and influence other voters. Plus it means that there are States -and their people- whose opinion is less valuable.

Sounds good in a fairytale world.

In real world:

Lets say Hillary has +1 vote in Nevada.

Here comes Robbie with his wife and both cast a vote for Johnson. Result - Hilary wins.
Alternative - Robbie and his wife cast a vote for Trump. Result - Trump wins.

Robbie said he could choose Trump over traitor in a heartbeat. By casting Johnson he would do exact opposite in that case.

The random numbers were an ironic response to your random numbers.

Percentages and Fractions mean very little. Unless you give the actual figures. 50% of ?? is ?.

Even quoting the Democrats failed to get as many out as last time, means nothing. Without actual quantities. With those, we might be able to see the real swing. Maybe Trump's appealing to Swing Voters who voted Democrat last time. Same total number of voters, the difference is those who switched camps.

I see it flew over Baddogs head as well.

Here in Europe, they give us the real voters numbers, not fractions and percentages of an unknown figure. Which makes the share a real thing, not Algebra.

I voted for Gary in 2012 and I did feel it was wasted, he got like 1%. Philosophically, you should live as you believe, etc, and be true to your principles, but that is a practical impossibility in our society.

I didn't post any random numbers. Are you having a problem with mental clarity? I clearly said these are the latest poll numbers nationally just in today.

They are a big jump from the last poll numbers which were often cited by people saying Trump couldn't win.

You should really, really think before you post.

So should you. Percentages and fractions of an unknown number mean nothing.

"of how many"?
Of all.

Do you understand how polling works? You do not need to poll every citizen. If done with big enough sample it means "of all" with maybe couple points error margin.

Of course that does not mean this exact poll was done with big enough sample, but most of them usually are, unless someone is deliberately wanting to push twisted numbers.

Trump is a racist, it was proven on CNN all night long. Wrap him up in a blanket and burn that mofo down... burn bitch burn. All hail Marco Rubio for president, would love for Rubio to make nation wide decisions... while sweating profusely. I hear sweating while negotiating is like farting after a good meal... not sure if true

This is already a historic presidential election, we've never seen a phenomenon like Trump - kids 100 years from now will know the name Donald Trump win or lose from their American history textbooks.

He's telling people what he knows they want to hear, they don't care that he provides few details about policies, they don't care that he gets caught in lies, that he's uncouth - all they see is a very confident man who is a success in life who doesn't sound or act like a politician. Donald Trump is NOT a conservative, he's not a liberal, he doesn't know what he is because he doesn't care - I do think he believes he can make America great again and knew if he ran as a 3rd party candidate he'd stand no chance. So he chose the Republican party, he's only borrowing it,a marriage of convenience whether he wins or loses the party will go through major upheaval. Though, I do think if Trump hadn't entered this race Rubio would have won and stood a good chance of winning the presidency, but only because Hillary Clinton is such a flawed candidate.

The Republican establishment and the conservative wing know who Trump is - the oh so smart liberals are being trolled by him, he's got them running around like hysterical chicken littles screaming that he's the second coming of Adolf Hitler. Just wait until Hollywood gets into the act - and it will work against Clinton, the fucking Pope couldn't lay a glove on him, good luck movie actors!

I think he has a long game here, when he wins the nomination I expect him to dial it down on the positions that are controversial and will move on to concentrate on tearing apart Hillary and Obama's record.

I'm not sure he even wants to be president - I think his long game is to speak up for the little guy who is pissed off with the status quo, bullshit, 'games' that politicians play just because they are on one side or the other, the media shit, the whole shebang. I wouldn't be surprised to see him say "fuck you politicians and fuck you media" once the dems/repubs finally grasp the public's disdain for politicians as they have now become, and actually start SERVING the people, or attempting to, in a desperate move to get public opinion of them above the level of 'snivelling wankers'.

Though I've been wrong many, many, many, many times before

ps agreed on the trolling, I love catching the John Oliver show now and then, and caught the one on trump - they did a fine job (as usual) and showed him being a dick in many instances, but I was amazed they missed the obvious humour in him circling his fingers in photos, and believed he really was that upset

Robbie said he could choose Trump over traitor in a heartbeat. By casting Johnson he would do exact opposite in that case.
My friend you have been brainwashed by the collective known as the democrats and republicans who insist you vote for either a donkey or an elephant and that there is no room for anything else...and up to now they have been very successful, they love it when people say a vote for Libertarians is a wasted vote and other such nonsense because that keeps you in the system...they truth that they do not want you to know is that it is a house of cards and Donald Trump is the guy exposing it...thats why even his own party will stop at nothing to derail him...his success is largely built on his ability to reach the disenfranchised voter, the 60% that never votes, but together could elect a socialist or a libertarian, or whomever, but they, like you have been brainwashed into believing that their vote ONLY counts if cast for a jackass or an elephant now they are waking up and saying hey this eagle has a chance, my vote really does count.

Is it fantasy-land that Trump has essentially staged a coup in the republican party? he did it because he has brilliant people telling him what to say to reach the hearts and minds of the people who were convinced that their vote didn't count...keep that in mind man.

As it stands now the election, not just the primaries, are Trumps to lose....Hillary is a bigger liability to the democrats than Trump is to conservative Republicans....trump has large amounts of Democrats crossing over just to vote for him....I love what he has done and the fact that if successful he will have redefined American politics.....

I understand your point, but it still does not make your vote not wasted in a short run.
In a long run - sure. Lets say now 3d candidate gets 3% of votes, 4 years later 5%, 8 years later 8%, 32 years later maybe 25% and from then the 2 party system may start to crumble.
But I was just speaking in a short term, for this election there is absolutely 0.000000000% chance for Johnson to win. So in that regard (short term) it would be wasted.

And since these elections are already one of a kind with Trump (and not actual republican, so not actually traditional republican vs democrat bi-party scheme) - maybe you should postpone your "wasted-not wasted" vote for 2020.

This morning CNN released it's recent poll which shows Trump loosing to Hillary - 52% to 44%, which is huge. In fact, another poll also shows Trump loosing to Sanders.

Nearly every poll out there - except for Fox News of course - has Hillary winning: RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Trump vs. Clinton

It will be interesting to see what happens at we get to the last few months of the general election though.... (Although I think that the Clinton machine, and the money behind it, will NEVER allow her to lose this race. They are too powerful and too ruthless)

I want to agree with you, but.... Hillary comes with some baggage and the Republican party has been warming up that baggage for the past year. I don't think it will amount to anything, but it sure will whip up the Republicans into a frenzy.

On the other hand, Trump sure had a lot of baggage too. He has had thirty or forty years in the spot light where he never had to account for his actions to no one. He doesn't seem to understand that every single word out of his mouth will be recorded and researched. A great example of this is the David Duke flap right now - He claimed yesterday (or the other day) he didn't know who David Duke was, yet they have him on video discussing David Duke in 2001. The amount of baggage this man has is going to be HUGE. The Trump Tower was build by undocumented Polish immigrants, he tried to take away someone's house in Atlantic City to build a parking lot, Trump University was nothing more than a scam, four bankruptcies.... Then there is the hotel in NYC he bought and ran into the ground, the airline.... This is a massive track record of fail here.

Not only will Trump not win the White House....but he will be disgraced and never looked at by the public in the same way. It'll fall apart once it's impossible to hide what a boob he is, and hopefully his stupid brand will die a horrible death soon after he crawls back into his gold-lined hole.

Say what you want about Trump, but his campaign has been brilliant.
Spent less money and went the farthest, Focused on the things he thought most regular people were disgusted about and nailed it and didn't act like a politician. Everyone in the media has been bashing him yet his rankings in the polls and the votes just keep going up.

Plain and simple, he knows what he's doing and he's changing the way politics are done. He's pissing off the Politicians that want things to be the a way they can control, but no one can control Trump.

I'll bet Hillary is not looking forward to debating him!

All true. Makes me sad that his style of the message resonates, but true.

I thought Trump would fade as he kept getting shown to be a liar and said outrageous things. It hasn't happened so I asked a friend who's a bit of a nut why Trump is having so much success. He told me white males feel under attack due to BLM, equality measures etc. Trump has riled them up by speaking up against the current status quo and they have jumped on board. They don't care that he is a liar nad the more outrageous things he says the better. They feel like he will take things back to the way they were. It's a sad state on the current status of our country.

Slight offtopic, look at communist (just former or also current?) traitor's Sanders twitter:
Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) | Twitter

Posting in Spanish, retweeting "Arabs for Bernie". Add his anti white sentiments and putting black lives over any other lives.

A true all American candidate.

Or just fucking disgusting peace of trash?

So who will be president?

You already said that neither Trump, nor Clinton, nor Sanders will take it.

Other than hiring undocumented workers from Poland to build a building, what in the world has Trump done for equality?
