Mike Kulich's Death Caused by Effects of Prescription Drugs

 Adult entertainment publicist Mike Kulich died in September from the effects of prescription drugs oxycodone and alprazolam, according to the Los Angeles Coroner?s Office. Kulich, 29, was found in his West Hollywood, Calif., apartment after his fiancée became concerned and called a friend to perform a welfare check. He was discovered nonresponsive in his bed. The Coroner?s Office today listed Kulich?s death as ?accidental? with only one cause ? the effects from the deadly polydrug mixture of oxycodone, often sold under the name OxyContin, and alprazolam, widely known as the brand Xanax. When opioid painkillers such as OxyContin are used with psychoactive benzodiazepines like Xanax, a drug interaction can occur that oftentimes can result in coma or death, as it was with Kulich. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Kulich worked in several areas of the adult entertainment business in his career spanning more than a dozen years in the adult entertainment biz. After four years of B2B sales managing hundreds of accounts at IVD/ECN, Kulich launched DVD Makers, a DVD replication company servicing the adult business. Kulich later started up Monarchy Distribution connecting individual talent to mainstream DVD and broadcast distribution. He also helped co-found SkweezMe.com, a streaming video-on-demand service. After winning an award for Marketing Campaign of the Year for his Monarchy Distribution label at the 2014 XBIZ Awards, Kulich rolled out Stunner PR, which, in addition to publicity, the firm also offered design and social media services. In April, he rebranded Stunner PR as MAK PR, which provided "online reputation management, brand building, media monitoring, internal communications, crisis management, media relations and event management."
