Paris (AFP) - The Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris, will soon be protected by bulletproof glass walls 2.5 metres (eight feet) high, part of a plan to prevent attacks at the monument, the city said Thursday.

The walls costing some 20 million euros ($21.4 million) will be erected this autumn at the northern and southern ends of the monument area, city hall said in a statement.

I'm so sad about this. They already have it barracaded off with security checkpoints since my last visit in September. My kids will never know what it was like before.

It's a testament that society went to total shit over the last few years and this marks a new beginning of the world we live in.
London is full of cameras and we thought that was bad.
Watch how they'll tighten security on every monument or attraction in every city in Europe. It's a shameful and disgraceful time to live in.
Glad to be out of the EU for good.
