he was the one who told people on his campiagn that he will take the best from the left, the best from the right and the best from the middle - but what is even more astonishing is that he was the only one who had the courage to praise merkel in his election campaign for her refugee policy. I think someone who want to win a election in every case would keep this thoughts for himself.

These are projected results based on polling stations that closed early.

The polls opened 8 till 8. It's manual voting count not electronic. How can she call him 6 hours prior to the polls closing to concede defeat.

Its 10:41 PM here now, and she called him 8:05 PM
They start counting early, but the results are not published until after 8:00 PM by the French interior ministry.

That is why she knew she had lost right after 8:00
