Audrey Cook entered the plea to attempted violation of election code, a misdemeanor, on Thursday in exchange for prosecutors agreeing to drop a felony perjury charge under the code, The Telegraph (The Telegraph | 88-year-old Alton woman pleads to casting Trump vote for dead husband ) reported.

The original perjury charge alleged that Cook forged the name of the late Virtus "Vic" Cook on an absentee ballot while serving as an election judge in Alton, 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of St. Louis. The misdemeanor charge stated that she took her husband's mail ballot knowing he was deceased.

Cook pleaded guilty to an amended charge in which the words "to carry out the wishes of her husband" were added.

The longtime Republican acknowledged Thursday that she attempted to vote for Donald Trump on behalf of her husband in September because she knew he wanted Trump to become the president.

"Now they should investigate all the cemeteries in Chicago," Cook said after being charged just days before the election. She said she doesn't feel she did anything wrong because her husband would have voted the same if he survived.

Notice every single time they've caught someone for voter fraud its,been Republicans. I think 1 time out of like 15 was a democratic.

The simple fact is we are at a war in this country with the right wing. They think only their voice matters and will do anything to oppress others.

People in this country need to start waking up to the fact the Right wing is a threat to demoracy.

True. The right wing supporting Russia's intervention in the election, a foreign adversary, then continuing to cover it up, show that not only are today's Republicans anti American, they are pro dictatorship and their actions in North Carolina solidify this by legislatures voting to take power away from the Democrat who won the last election and illegal redistricting that gave white wealthy voters more power with their votes than blacks & poor whites.

Lets do EVERYTHING possible to make sure every single vote is by a qualified, legal citizen so that the voter fraud that you're now so concerned about (strangely timed concern), can't happen.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants think about that
