Mobile friendly + Responsive = pain in the ass?

Has anyone updated an old website to mobile friendly/responsive and then received a bunch of complaints that the site is all messed up?

Our main site was recently redesigned and now meets Google's mobile friendly requirements and is mobile friendly. I tested it on as many different devices as I could and it worked fine for me.

But we get an email every damn day from a user that says he can't access anything. My guess is they are using an outdated browser or some odd device, but they never tell us when we ask.

So now we are going through some huge cross-browser, device compatibility testing phase.

Man I miss the good ole days of a computer and standard browser. I'm still pissed that Apple blocked Flash...

It is worth it, just look at your stats, and look the increasing # of mobile users.

If your theme looks messy, then hire a site designer. A responsive theme is a must for a serious online business.

Well, considering for mobile friendliness is required to use CSS only and no tables, it is possible how you used new CSS code which cant be read by older browsers hence problems.

there are readym ade templates for cheap. buy them , and use their snippets / codes.,

As someone who uses mobile often, I hate almost all mobile websites. I use the desktop sites whenever I can. Id rather have a desktop site that works well on mobile than a mobile site.

Same here, although most desktop sites lok too small on the phone.

I hear this complaint very often... and even some of the templates that are available are only there for certain types of phones.. Still dont believe how this is possible in 2017 and literally more people start to use mobile every day

Is there no simple site builder for mobile sites?

Really? I cant navigate normally on desktop only sites, it require zooming in order to see it. Mobile responsive all the way. Tho, biggest problem with mobile responsive how it's very easy to do misclicks, so i order to make it more friendly it would be needed to add big spaces between links.
