Pornhub has announced it is launching a new AI-powered model that uses computer vision technology to autonomously detect and identify adult performers by their name.

The algorithm has so far been trained to recognize over 10,000 pornstars by simply scanning and interpreting footage, according to the X-rated website. Pornhub says the AI-powered solution was fed thousands of videos along with official photos of performers to learn how to return names accurately.

smart, but it seems to just be facial recognition for porn stars. not a general tagging solution. they've been crowd-sourcing tagging for years; no AI can beat humans doing it for you for free.

Bringing up facial recognition could be bad for tube sites. Especially with pornhub's push to get everyday people to upload their personal sex videos.

Could it be possible to make a tube site that embeds a pornhub video, then a user highlights the face of an actor, then the site brings up tagged facebook, instagram, twitter, and mugshots?
