![]() I have been informed since few days about this coming update . Thanks to Mike Cherreti From AvertServe to bring this to my attention
![]() I have not the best of the knowledge about this subject but something i know and understood is something huge coming earlier 2018 and this will affect all advertiser and publisher. Google and Coalition for Better Ads aims to force all Internet publishers to adopt their standards to make advertising more user friendly in early 2018. There is a new version of Chrome will be release that will automatically block all ads on web sites that choose not to comply with their new rules. All in all if your a publishers you should Look into this very seriously. The lost of your income will be REALLY affected by this update coming up. If you choose to not comply we really think it will be a disaster for most publishers since Chrome currently control a 50% - 60% browser market share and you could face the loss of 50% or more of your ad impressions and income. I know this will be a new Game changer with many NEW ad Format and i think the best game plan right now is to comply to avoid the lost of your traffic/ ad impression etc.. Some of the ad we think Publisher with Good SE traffic should consider Discontinue - POP/ Popunder Mobile and desktop Discontinue - Tab/tabunder Mobile and desktop Discontinue - IM pop on mobile Mobile and desktop Discontinue - Any large Mobile ads NOT more than 30% of the screen height on mobile phones IF you use 300x600 be sure to replaced with 300x250 or possibly even 300x100 ads to make sure to comply with new rules, we have heard from few publishers about google have flagged larger 300x600 ads on mobile. We hope google will do blinded eyes on the 300x250 format because ITS the most popular mobile size but exceeds 30% of the screen height. And Also Banners Animation, If you like me and like your banners with an aggressive animation, well you should think about get your banners redone. ![]() Thanks to GamesRevenues for the tips / information. I hope people with good knowledge about all this ex: @konda and all the others chimed in, i think it will be affecting all of us in a certain way or another . ![]()

What defines an ad? How do they know if an image on a site is a banner or an image for the site?

I already use suggested ad formats. And I can say for mobile users I notice a better conversion. but popunders suggestion is a shit, it will cut revenue in a huge percent.
