yeah it's on a boat so the bears don't get yer ass lol!! I was thinking you could stay there for a week or so and camp various places then i looked up Quebec/bears and knew the deal... pretty awesome though for sure...

polar bears are considered an aquatic mammal like a sea. yes brown bears can swim, but would have no reason to swim out to the raft, would not smell the food... bears apparently won't even bother campers if they don't smell the food. when camping in bear country you put the food up on a rope between 2 trees, 15-20 foot about 50-60 yards from the tent, bears can climb trees but not up to a suspended sack between 2 trees. do not cook by the tent of throw food trash near the tent etc.. some guys put up portable electric fences, but still keep the food away
