The phenomenon is not new but certainly more and more present.

I see more and more models stop making porn movies to become cam girls...
I see more and more models selling their own produced content through platforms that are the intermediaries, just like Uber...

And how to blame them! They keep the full control, remove the middle man part and get a bigger part of the cake.

I wonder. Is it the proclaimed death of tradional porn industry?

Well it would be great if people who actually create things gets paid for it. The new digital economy is cutting out a lot of middle men, who if we're being really honest here have no talent except being middle-men.

I agree with both these. Camming is not easy, and doing full time is even harder. There will always be talent, but the best business women will strive to own their IP and do direct to consumer work.

No, cams won't replace porn, it requires patience, consistency and good English skills. Most porn chicks want quick money, need to be directed and don't want to spend hours building customer base and enticing annoying dudes to pay for private shows. Agreed, the Cam and self-site model takes a little bit of knowledge and the ability to speak English. But after that what is there that's so great that a photographer, pornsite company, affiliate offers that can't be replaced by a girl who is willing to work?

I guess they still have a little to learn.

I once tried to sell a magazine ad to a club. They said we dont need to advertise we have location.

3 months later as I passed every day and saw an empty parking lot. They closed the doors.

Location is nice. drive by's are nice but a " City " has a lot more people that the ones that drive by.

I have to agree with Cruci here. Quality girls can make $50 to $100 an hour. They don't work for sites and do all their own marketing.

Your problem was persuading the models that you were worth sharing their wages with them. Afterall, they can promote themselves directly on so many platforms you have to offer something special at a rate they accept.

I am a studio boss and out of the 100-s of models who came and went most of them were able to make 50$/hour easily...the problem is they work 1-2 hours and then quit for the day and then their position drops and then they have to bust their balls to come back to page 1 and then the whole cycle repeats...

the hotter they are the less they care about work and the more they rely on finding a sugar daddy in real life so that they can work even less....if you gave me a hot hot model with ambitions and work ethic I could easily get her to make 1000$/day with traffic and promotion and say 6 hours work/day...but this is waaay to much to ask
