It's funny shit watching high school kids destroy the NRA..

The NRA went right to their typical playbook and that was attack and attempt to ridicule these kids. It's backfiring in their face and these kids are trashing the NRA.. Republicans are dumbfounded and don't have a clue as to what to do. They already had a massive loss of voters after Trump now they face an army of angry teens who who will be of voting age in time for the mid terms.

The best part is the NRA could have avoided all this if ythey wernt so fucking stupid and actually cared about gun safety. Instead they have lost control of the gun debate and will end up being sidelined..

It reminds me of when the RICCA tried to fight music sharing and lost all control of the distribution of their own product to 3rd party players..

The simpe fact is Republicans have failed to act and have blocked sensible gun laws and the people will now act for them. All it will take is for the credit card processors to say they will no longer do processing for businesses that sell assault rifles and its all over.. We've now seen the 1st step with a processor saying they won't do sales for companies selling to people under 21.. It's just a baby step away..

I think it's awesome! As long as it's relegated to AR15's and the like I'll be happy and support them. If their movement gets out of control and landslides into going further it will die fairly quickly, at least I hope so.

See that's the problem.. Republicans and the NRA failed to act responsibly and compromise. Now Republicans will get voted out of office and democrats will push through a shit ton of new gun laws. Some will be good some will be bad.

It will be Republicans fault for failing to take the issue seriously and failing to act sensibly and they had years to act sensibly but failed so now it will be taken out of their hands and they will not get a choice or say in the matter.

That's exactly what I'm worried about. Pelosi's trend has been to go farther and farther left and I'm not down for that. Things went too far left last time which = too much censorship and too much "safe space" crap, just like when you go too far right = too much censorship and too much religious "safe space" crap.

We need new younger leadership that's not going to placate the looney bin far far left to get votes. There will be plenty of people voting Democrat without having to appeal to the nutjobs IMO.

The baby boomers are dying off. In 20 years the country will be rid if them and things will change. The millennial will be the biggest voting block and they will be young enough to still care and not be to jaded to actually change shit.

I was talking to a friend the other day about the gun control debate. He is one of those people that thinks the problems would be solved if everyone just walked around with a gun strapped to their hip. I pointed out to him that the Millenials are the biggest generation in the history of this country. They lean further left than previous generations. They hate the baby boomers and aren't fond fo Gen X, many of them are educated (albeit with the accompanying debt), and they have grown up with a very different world view because they grew up with the internet, smartphones etc. If we don't fix the problem in 15-20 years when they are in power they will and it may come in the form of a flat-out gun ban or very heavy regulation. We might be at a moment in history where we fix it or regret it dearly later.

Crockett is delusional, like always. The NRA hasn't been involved in mass shootings. It's usually a deranged Democrat.

If you're against the NRA, you're against gun safety and responsible gun use.

It can spike all they want, but these kids will still out number them.. NRA and Republicans have fucked themselves....

This high school kid is destroying them and He's rallying a ton of support

Marjory Stoneman Douglas student David Hogg began his speech at the March for Our Lives by putting his orange price tag on the podium. That $1.05 sticker, meant to serve as a callout for Senator Marco Rubio's ties to the NRA, was the banner David waved as he gave a stirring speech that decried political inaction and rallied march attendees to vote in 2018.
"The cold grasp of corruption shackles the District of Columbia," David said. "The winter is over. Change is here. The sun shines on a new day, and the day is ours." He asked the crowd who would be voting in the 2018 midterms, and responded to their cheers, "If you listen real close, you can hear the people in power shaking. They've gotten used to being protective of their positions, choosing the safety of inaction. Inaction is no longer safe. And to that we say, 'No more!'"

"We are going to make this the voting issue," David continued. "We're going to take this to every election, to every state and every city. We're going to make sure the best people get in our elections to run, not as politicians, but as Americans. Because this," David said, pointing at the U.S. Capitol behind him, "this is not cutting it. When people try to suppress your vote, and there are people who stand against you because you're too young, we say, 'No more!'"

Millennials are a lost cause. They like Facebook ffs.

These kids have no right to speak unless spoken to. Raise the minimum age of free speech to 21. Problem solved.

It's no good having a background check law if it's not enforced and if agencies have no penalties for not reporting what they're supposed to report. Go beyond any of this and I'll be on the other side of the gun rights legislation.

All Americans citizens have the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from our government. I will not allow America to go the way of China, Russia Etc. No matter if you're Republican or Democrat you have the right to defend yourself against a government that's gone wrong this is how we protect ourselves from becoming a socialist fascist country controlled by dictators, monarchs & socialist regimes.

Its easy to march. Its even easier to vote.

Lets see these kids pick up a gun and defend their free speech rights.

In order to take the guns, its going to require a civil war. There are 7 million NRA members that arent just going to hand over their guns. 42% of households own a combined 300 million guns. The combined US armed forces only amount to 1 million.

Charlton Heston's words will ring true someday... Im putting my money on the NRA and those that will die to defend their Constitutional rights, not high school kids marching.

This wont change anything.

The NRA doesn't have a stronghold on everyone that owns a gun and believes in gun rights.

The NRA putting that pitbull pornstar looking chick Dana Loesch out there as their spokeswoman was a huge mistake she's disgusting.

There are a lot of Americans with guns that don't believe in what the NRA is doing and they do believe in our right to bear arms myself included.

The NRA has gone rogue and even the far-right is seeing that now. Allowing 18 year olds to own military grade semi automatics is going too far.

Even if 50% if the NRA members are willing to die to defend the Second Amendment, they will still outnumber the US military 4 to 1. And I would bet that out of the 42% of households that do own guns there will be a few million more that would also be willing to die for Constitution.

Marching and voting isnt going to change anything. And eventually, gun sales and assault weapon sales will become a black market activity. Prohibition laws dont stop people. Even good people will break the law. The only way to take the guns is going to be to physically remove them from the people.

Sure most of the good law abiding citizens will hand their weapons over to the local police if asked nicely. Millions of good law abiding citizens wont.

I can't stand that little Hogg twink.

Here he is crying about his school being ‘25 percent black,’ but his AP classes only have ‘one black student for every 30 students.’ He described that ratio as ‘disgusting.’...”

So all those liberal teachers are holding back black students from taking AP classes? Maybe they're not pushed towards those classes simply because they don't have the grades? I'm sure they're chock full of Asian students. So he basically saying the teachers are playing favorites with whites and Asians. Fuck him.

Today's protests really motivated me, so I signed up as an NRA member.

The best part, my actions influenced others to do the same!

Can't wait for November. Liberals seem to forget when it's voting season they lose when they want to grab guns.

Numbers mean nothing in modern warfare. How many people can be killed by an Abrahams Tank or Apache helicopter?

I expect more sense from a lawyer.

How sure are you that 50% will die to defend the Second Amendment. And how effective do you think they will be up against the US Army?

The NRA doesn't allow 18year olds to own anything. Congress did that with the Gun Control Act of 1968, and the ATF is the enforcing agency for it.

There hasn't been a military grade semi automatic rifle produced since the modified M14 rifles were issued in the 1960's. An AR15 is not a military grade rifle. Our military does not use AR15 rifles.

Do you really think the arms the public have are any use against the arms the Army has?

An army sniper is trained to kill at distances of a mile. An Apache aircraft can kill 100s without a shot being returned. An Abrahams tank would mow down 100s without getting a dent.

Quote:
Apache weapons. A 30mm automatic Boeing M230 chain gun is located under the fuselage. It provides a rate of fire of 625 rounds a minute. The helicopter has capacity for up to 1,200 rounds of ammunition.

This against an army better armed, more organised and eager to get to heaven to enjoy their virgins. The American public wouldn't last a month.

As for elections you've allowed two parties, both in the pockets of donors, to dominate your political process.

I don't know. This thread is about stopping the needless violence of seemingly law-abiding people flipping and deciding to kill themselves or suicide by cop and take as many as possible with them.

To do that you have to restrict gun sales to a certain level that will reduce the numbers who are killed by a perpetrator.

The NRA side of the debate have made it impossible to stop people on a terrorist no-fly list to buy a gun. I rest my case.

People are put on no-fly lists without due process. Flying is not a right protected by the constitution. Taking away someone's rights without due process is a completely different ballgame.

Rest that fucking case.

The Supreme Court has ruled you don't have a constitutional right to an AR-15 or any other semi-automatic weapon. Stopping people on the no fly list from being able to purchase an AR-15 is perfectly legal and has nothing to do with due process.

Pointing out all of the ignorance surrounding this issue would require a lot more time than I am willing to give it but lets check a few highlights.

The NRA, to hear the BS youd think they shot these kids, dont yall see anything wrong with that? If it werent for the NRA, black men wouldn't be allowed to own guns. In the grand scheme of lobbying NRA ranks way down the list in terms of money spent to buy politicians, they aren't even a lobbying organization. Blaming the NRA is no different than blaming the ACLU for allowing these so called kids to protest.

speaking of....has anyone actually listened to this crap? They call politicians baby killers, child killers, blah blah and point out how untrustworthy they are, yet they want to entrust these same politicians to determine who, if anyone can own a gun? seriously...how retarded is that?

Now who among you actually believe that these "kids" organized and planned and financed all of these protests?

I may be wrong but I think this is the first time in history American Citizens have protested to have their rights taken away?...maybe prohibition....that sure ended well.

now lets be honest many of the real problems cant even be addressed because...RACISM....the biggest threat to the lives of young black men is other young black men it isnt a race thing its a CULTURE thing, but try to address it and yer labelled a RACIST.....

These so called kids are allowing themselves to be used to promote an agenda that they clearly do not understand, the simplicity of the message sounds good but anyone with a high school education knows that it isnt simple at all.

How many of these "kids" were espousing personal responsibility?...I didnt hear any and it adds to the stereotype that they dont take responsibility for anything, its always someone elses fault...because their hearts are pure and they think they have all the answers but none of those answers involves them being responsible for the mistakes they make.

In the leading causes of death among teens in the United States of America guns are way down the list, expand that to deaths of anyone guns are even further down the list...knives, cars, doctors, drugs, and cell phones kill way more people than guns....way more.

As a whole NRA members commit fewer crimes, not just gun crimes, than any other single group, including 'KIDS"

And if you think you saw lots of kids protesting remember this, the NRA has a paid membership that is more people than all of these "kids" COMBINED and these members vote, and as pornlaw pointed out many are prepared to fight for these rights, because they understand better than most what Chairman Mao said.....When they government takes a right from you the only way you will ever get it back is through the barrel of a gun.

In the end its all moot anyway because we still have a second amendment and it aint going anywhere, despite what a collective of ignorant people may bitch about.

remember any attempt to control what firearms you may own is simply an attempt to remove your ability to protect yourself.....think about this...why is it that you can't sue the FBI or the police for negligence when they fail to protect you? In the end its your responsibility.....and theres that word again, responsibility seems everyone wants it but nobody wants to practice it.

Yes, you are wrong... again.

You would need to amend the Constitution to make owning semi-automatic weapons your right.

The Supreme Court has ruled you don't have a constitutional right to an AR-15 or any other semi-automatic weapon.

U.S. Supreme Court

People are not protesting to have their rights taken away people are protesting the distribution of military grade semi-automatic weapons to 18 year olds with no common sense regulation.

People are protesting the NRA stating that guns should be in schools to protect children from children with guns that the NRA supports the children having.

Why is it Trump supporters always have to be educated? It's like a Non-Stop Special Ed Course for liars.

you can argue semantics but when the second amendment was written it didnt exclude semi or fully automatic weapons ...and be fore you go saying they didnt exist at the time YOU are wrong machine guns ...fully automatic were already invented, and every weapon available at the time was semi automatic...even your musket....theres a reason that semi autos are available to anyone who passes the background checks and requirements....its because they cant ban them....you dont believe it thats fine ...try it.

and you assume far too much I didnt vote for Trump...I am a strict constitutionalist

consider yourself...educated
