I'm Feeling Pretty Fucking Damn Proud of Myself!

So after a few hours I have managed to fix 3 things in our house today.

1. My laptop. I posted the other day that it had stopped working because the HD had dies. Anyway, I remembered I had another hard drive from an old laptop so decided to switch them round.
Worked pretty well for a couple of hours until windows decided to update and my wifi stopped working.
After a bit of head scratching I decided it must be something to do with windows upgrading so connected an ethernet cable, went to the HP website and download drivers for my wireless adapter and hey presto it worked.
2. During this same time my wife's laptop also started to get fucked up. The screen went and it got horizontal lines all across bar 1" at the top of the screen.
I thought initially it was something to do with the connectors between the screen and the base so decided to try to fix it after my renewed confidence.
Hers is a Dell laptop.
I ended up taking it pretty much apart. Hard drive, keyboard, wireless adapter and screen. I checked the cables and they looked fine so I connected it back up to test and lo and behold it worked again.
I put everything back together and handed it back to the missus feeling pretty smug.

Bear in mind, prior to today I had zero experience with tinkering with laptops.

Finally,

3. Earlier this week our oven went pop. The heating element went and rather than buy a new oven I decided to order one.
Today I fitted it and once again was amazed how simple it was.

So yeah. I'm a bit of an expert me.

Jokes aside, congrats. It's always satisfying to dive into something you really don't know about and usually shy away from only to learn you are more handy than you thought. THATS MAN THINGS!!
