Why every company in the world isn't doing this surprises me. There is so much they can do here - For example, when someone clicks on an Old Navy affiliate link it brings them to the Old Navy site, jacks all of the prices up on the Old Navy site by 10%, and if someone buys something they give that 10% to the affiliate. It's a win win for Old Navy. If the customer doesn't buy something, Old Navy hasn't lost anything or paid for that traffic. If they do buy something, it cost Old Navy nothing in advertising to make that sale.
