China or Canada

Why are fighting with Canada over trade? Totally serious here. Trade surplus. Decent people. Wtf do we gain with this?

It's a bold Trump strategy. Piss off your allies while sucking China's cock.

Both sides stand to gain fair trade with trump's deal with CA.

For US, our dairy farmers stand to gain a lot for instance. trump wants the CA dairy tariffs removed.
here's a good article on the issue
https://www.factcheck.org/2017/04/u-...dairy-dispute/

He wants all tariffs removed, in fact, on both sides on everything.

true free trade. Why would anyone disagree with true free trading?

You're talking about a man who went on national TV and said he was considering pardoning a man, who has no convictions to pardon.

He says stuff to say stuff and usually doesn't do what he says, and randomly does what he does just to be different so he can live up to the "shaking things up" persona his base wants.

Maybe I am just ignorant, but wouldn't true free trade open up this country to massive outsourcing overseas?

That makes more sense. Free, open trade with Canada seems like a no-brainer.

It just mean we don't need your Extra production of Milk! We have extra here Already this is what Trump Dosen't get.
Probably one of the reason it was not include in Nafta deal. So now Trump want Agriculture add to nafta.
THATS A TOTALY DIFFERENT STORY.

You guys are better off getting ready to send your milk over the WALL for some pesos

But again it was an interesting Article and i did not know we was charging 270%....
Let's make it 350% and hopefuly Trump will get it

meanwhile Australia and NZ can't produce enough milk powder for the Chinese market... there paying $A5 to $7 a litre for it ($USD 13.75 - 20.12 a gallon )

What's the price in Canada and the USA again?

See if Trump really wanted to save your dairy industry.. EPA and regulations to get all the hormone shit out would be the biggest benefit... might make it actually saleable.

Canada: The national average price for four litres of two per cent milk is $4.80 or $1.20 per litre.
Atlantic Canada milk prices among highest in Canada | The Chronicle Herald

United States: retail stores in 2014. The price of one gallon of milk came to 3.82 U.S. dollars in that year.

China's demand for its own milk dropped after it started killing people, Aus and NZ took up the slack, USA missed out because of hormone usage in your products.

If the USA want's to increase trade in agriculture, especially to China, then regulations are your only safe guard, cos they will drop a whole countries products over a few bad eggs... ask your beef farmers how that goes..

Both countries protect dairy. It is not even clear if this is a WTO violation. So like I said, wtf? This is where

actually,

china stopped importing milk due to their domestic issues, and eu stopped their quotas on milk in 2015 unleashing supply. none of the worldwide glut in dairy has anything to do with GH in USA milk. you can't just simply turn off milk production.

MMm.. no try shopping in a super market here when they bring in a new supply of baby formula, its wiped off the shelves in minutes after a bus load of Chinese pull up

here's a good break down

https://www.rabobank.com.au/media-re...-end-products/

I come from cow country in NZ ;) and the farmers are all driving range rovers.

But do note the Chinese market hasn't even started, 100g a year per person consumption, vs USA at 10,000g, while China will never be American style cheese heads pushing them to 1000g a year is very realistic.

All these trade woes will end soon, except we will ALL be in Chinas pocket.
