As someone that is not in and from the States, it baffles me when I hear the term White being thrown around.

What the Fuck does being White mean ?

Who can be classified as White ?

Which Races/Nationalities can call them selves White ?

I would assume the old stock Americans (British Colonists) can call themselves White, but are people like Italians, Spaniards, Arabs, Jews white ?

And what about people that are mixed with different backgrounds ? Are they White

The term being White is not a world wide term used in other English speaking Countries, so when I hear on the internet or T.V someone calling themselves or being called white it confuses me.

Hope we can have a open forum discussion without being racist or anything, this is just another fuck around discussion.

white and black are political divisions. has very little to do with race.... I think in the US Italians, Spaniards, Arabs, Jews are white. Latin's were white until they got their own classification in the name of divisional politics... it's a voting thing with districts etc... I identify as Celtic

Middle Eastern is a name for people who are from a specific region the same as North American or South American. It doesn't signify a race but rather all people from that region regardless of race.

I believe it was something like 400k Africans came to America and today they are 13% of the population. How many blacks are in the Middle East? My ancestors were from Russia and were white. Ancestry.com claims that back to the 1700’s. That’s on my mother’s side. Dad’s side is from Belfast; all white.

Caucasian may be a better term. But a middle term is needed. Spaniards are not dark skinned but not white skinned, for example. Do we refer to them as Latin skinned? Medium brown skinned?

If someone is American, does that mean white? Native Americans or Indians were here first, they say. Are they considered white? No. But ....

White isn’t blonde hair and blue eyes. Not exclusively anyway. I’m dark-haired but born reddish with brown eyes. I’m white-American if you need to be specific. Albinos can be considered white but many are black.

We’re people. That’s what matters most to open-minded people. Don’t judge on color or nationality and life will be more interesting and pleasant
