Honestly it's not smart to try to understand the logic of Republicans. It's clear they dont think logically but rather emotionally.

They are a cult reacting to their emotions of being brainwashed washed for years into thinking the world is ending.

I mean think about it how crazy these people are. Half of the Republican base is evangelicals who think the world will end at rapture and everyone of them is convinced it's happening in their life time...
