34 million!!! HAHAHAHAHA You lying clown

It was only about 3 million, and they were following the law since Obamacare was illegally funded by ripping off investors. Also, "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." Everything about it was fraudulent.

It was 34 million. And I kept my doctor. Only the idiots that were already getting ripped off from their insurance companies had that problem. Quit your fucking lying.

I never understood why Republicans were against healthcare. The one single thing ALL Americans need is healthcare. Obamacare obviously works - we had more people insured than ever before. They should have taken the problems and fix them while they were in power. Instead they did nothing.

Republicans are against affordable healthcare because their masters (the drug lobby & healthcare lobby) would make less money because of government negotiations for purchasing of drugs.

So they spin it as "the only people who need affordable healthcare are minorities and the chronically ill." So bigoted whites will vote against their health interest.

It's even more sinister than that. They feel the sick, disabled, and poor are a drain and society would be better off if they were dead.

In extreme cases, they are, but on average, they are not.

When our generation gets the power we need to make elderly euthanization as easy & accessible as possible to get these fucking baby boomers off the planet as soon as possible. They will obliterate our budget and throw us into a deep recession

I think 'by 2020' that medicare for all will be promoted by both sides.
I know that sounds strange, but I think it to be true.
But I also think that if it becomes a legislative reality, it will be as big of a fight as obamacare.

Nobody on the right stands a chance without saying something positive on healthcare.
They can take some of the steam away from the democrats with it.

The devil is in the details. Neither would structure it the same. So yet one more big fight.

When it comes to Republicans/conservatives, I think the one defining characteristic to rule over all others is the non-empathy gene. The mantra is "every man for himself and fuck everyone else".

They couldn't come up with an alternative to Obama care because their heart isn't in taking care of people. It's more about making the lives of rich people better than it already is. Every decision they make is rooted in the desire to keep more of their money and make more and more no matter who gets shafted. Any plan they come up with would somehow end up with them getting and whatever corporation pays them getting a tax break. The plans would cost $5000 a month and have $8000 deductible with a clause for no pre-existing conditions because they wouldn't want to inconvenience the insurance lobby.

I would be very shocked to see a Republican candidate run on Medicare for all. They would be called a Socialist by half the party. I think Republicans will run on more of the same. They will promise to protect people with preexisting conditions and promise better healthcare for less. It's all the same stuff Trump has promised and failed to deliver on. That won't stop them from packaging it up and selling it again.

I have said many times and truly believe if there were no political repercussions for it, the Republicans would have done a full repeal of Obamacare with no replacement. Like you say, they don't really care about healthcare so they haven't really tried to fix it.

What they care about is making sure no one who has trouble affording it can get it. They REALLY seem to care about that.

There is no fix for heathcare. Government should stay out of it. Ask any nurse case manager that works for any heathcare provider will tell you this "you cant fix stupid". People who have diabetes still eat sugar while not taking the insulin or blood readings daily. People who have psychosis of the liver who continue to drink. People who are morbidly obese continue to eat like shit. People who have opcd continue to smoke. I could go on but by now i am sure you get the picture.

With that being said we know heathcare company's are for profit. A insurance can not drop a patient even if they continue there bad choices which makes no frigging sense. Do not get me wrong this is only a small portion 15%-20% of each clinic that has these types of patients but that small percentage cost the insurance millions per year per clinic. So when insurance company's are not making enough profit rates go up.

Now they wanna do medicare for all no way in hell!

At some point I think we as a country will have to ask ourselves a big question. Is having access to affordable (or in some cases free) healthcare a basic right all citizens of the US should have (like it is in most industrialized nations) or should it only be available to those who can afford it?

I think we are moving more and more towards the side of the former. No matter which way we go, it's not going to be pretty, but there needs to be a major overhaul of the system or it is going to collapse. Medicare for all seems like the solution that is the easiest now, but if we don't do things to curb the actual cost of the healthcare it won't matter because it will become a system of choosing which way you want to go broke.

yes, there are people who abuse themselves and don't care. We can't fix them or change that. We need to understand that is part of the equation and try to make a system that works for as many people as possible.

It sounds great heathcare for all but its not gonna happen. They are saying by 2030 the usa will have a shortage of 120,000 physicians. Why should people who do what the should do have less quality of care then someone that abuses there body. Why should you or anyone else have to flip the bill for those individuals.

Lets look at Obama care when it started i was punching in numbers yeah sure the monthly payments were cheap but damn the deductibles were crazy. $2000,$3000 all the way up to $10,000. If you are on Obama care you cant afford the deductibles which means insurance company's eat cost and raises rates on those who pay full price.

The whole system is fucked up but asking the government to come in and fix it is a big mistake. These fuckers in Washington on the left and right have fucked this country up so much over the past 50 years its sickening. You can not show me anything that the government has got involved in last 50 years that's better off now. Only thing government does now is divide us and fuck us for there own personal and political gain.

They don't know but they are against anything else.

Simple fact is most Big Biz has been crying for a program like Medicare for all since the 90's.

Where the issue breaks down is how to fund it.
But the reality now is that it is cheaper than providing benefits from the marketplace.
That's why more are coming onboard to the idea. And they do not have to re-invent the wheel to do it. Just expand the eligibility and fund it through the payroll system.

Insurance co's of all types have always said it is about spreading risk... but they continue to try to charge more for higher risk. and not give discount to low risk.

There are to many involved in the chain of health care and everyone is gaming the system.
Every time I see a rule change, it involves the ability for someone to game it further.

It's going to change because it has to or it will just becomes to expensive and collapses on itself.

So, I don't see a fight in medicare for all, just a fight in how the republicans will want to fund it (or not).

Obamacare was a step in the right direction, unfortunately the big Pharma lobbying groups were paid to bring it down. More proof on who runs your "democracy".

I liked politics a lot more when it was correctly corrupt at least it wasn't a spew of hatred like it is now.

Hold your opinions on corruption for a brief while...
I've been reading some pretty nasty stuff that the media has been well aware of but strangely silent.

I can only guess the media was asked not to publish until investigators have done their job.
OMFG, its real bad

Basically the sole purpose of Obamacare..... I don't care how you try to spin it..... was to get mexicans out of the emergency rooms and into doctor's offices. They were literally bankrupting hospitals.

So what's the alternative?

You can end Obamacare in conjunction with mass deportations, but that isn't going to happen.

Pretty much evertything you say is wrong, and this is no exception. Stop trying to make points with Fox News talking points. Stop having thoughts in general. You're not built for it. Actually...end your life. You suck at that too.

So what's the alternative?

You can end Obamacare in conjunction with mass deportations, but that isn't going to happen.
Gee, where I am, I don't see any Mexican's. But I do find it funny a Pakistani family can sit on welfare that owns a Papa John's franchise.
I have no idea why that is and I really don't care because it is a exception and not a rule.
I'm not willing to deny those who need assistance because some get it without the true need.

For as long as someone making over $500k can have a much lower effective tax rate than someone making $40k, I don't care. (many times even paying less in actual dollars)

The problem is, they get all of you that are paying the brunt of the taxation in the $40k - $180k income range to think that the reason your taxes are so high are those at the bottom end getting stuff for free.

It fits their political purpose. They want to end all social programs "."
They just need to give you a reason for you to stand by without a fight while they legislate that into existence.

The Republican party will never lift a finger to change immigration except to keep it right where it is right now. It's good for grandstanding for votes and they get money from the folks that use that cheap labor.

I noticed that 10 years ago. When they almost had a compromise and then a few senators jumped up and made a ridiculous amnesty claim and got the issue to hot to handle and it stopped in it's tracks.

The republicans have been in control for 2 years. If they really wanted a change, it was as easy as those massive tax breaks. Where is it ? What a fool believes ?

I believe in reforming the system. For real. It has become a political football everyone wants to keep playing. It could be fixed if not obstructed as it has been.

At present, healthcare has been the same political football. But it is going to change after 2020, that much I am sure of. You will have little choice in as few as 7 years.

Flat rate taxes and no deductions is a good start. Then we can pay for health care.
