I need help with Dropbox

I bought the 2tb option on Dropbox this week to upload all my content currently on an external hard drive. The problem is it copies the content to my laptop, in a file Dropbox created, and that has filled my hard drive and now I can't upload any more.

Is there a way I can just back up the external drive on Dropbox?

Also having problems deleting any folder because it deletes the same folder on Dropbox.

Or drop the resolution quality of the content and it will fit on a CD - Even cheaper...

go in the dropbox settings on your pc, and cancel the sync/prevent it from syncing.

that way you can delete the folder without it deleting the files from dropbox
and you can add more files, without them getting added to your pc

How do I access the Dropbox settings?

Tried everything, went to Youtube to watch videos and all they tell me is there's page with everything on that I need. The only problem is I can't find that page. All I have is the listing of my

Files
My files
Sharing
File requests
Deleted files

Nothing about accessing the settings.

Right clicking on the dropbox icon shows sync but it's frozen at the setting to sync

This is on windows?
if so, try this:

On the bottom right of your screen (next to your clock) there should be a dropbox icon, you might need to click on an arrow to make it show up.

Once you see it, right click on it,
A menu will open, on the top right there is a settings/wheel icon.

Click that, then click preferences (might be called slightly different, i use a dutch version, i asume this would be the english name)

Then the last tab, syncro.
Selective syncro

There you can select which folders you want to download to your pc, and which you dont

if you are still stuck after this, feel free to add me on skype: thepornlist
