Mexican Congressman Braulio Guerra scaled the 30-foot border fence that separates Mexico from the United States in an attempt to show Donald Trump how easy it is to get into the country. In a video that has since gone viral, Guerra stated "I was able to scale it, climb it, and sit myself right here," The congressman added, "It would be simple for me to jump into the United States, which shows that it is unnecessary and totally absurd to build a wall."

The Mexico-US border wall was the lynchpin of Trump's 2016 campaign and is now the center of the government shutdown that has many American government workers running into financial crises. Trump has demanded roughly $5 billion for the border wall and continues to run into partisan opposition on the matter. But Guerra feels that regardless of the barrier Trump is able to get placed at the border it will ultimately be an effort in futility. "It shows how unnecessary this project, this political rhetoric from Donald Trump, is."

Also, the 5.7 billion ( number that came from where for what ) does not cover the whol;e wall, just a part .

Anybody with an IQ over 2 points knows that this whole wall project isn't going to work. Its all a vanity project intended to appeal to Trump's racist base. The actual wall won't fix anyhting and this has been proven over and over and over and over again.

The wall is not effective. It's just that simple. In most cases you can put a ladder up next to it and just climb right over. Some quick research tells me you can buy a fucking sixty foot ladder (it's expensive - $1600!)

It's that fucking simple.

We already have fencing on 600 miles of the border, and it's only so effective. Obama, Hillary, and Chuck Schumer all voted for this. It's only so effective. You put fencing where it's effective, but you don't spend billions on fencing where no one is crossing. Put the fucking money where the problem is.

Anyone who says Democrats are against secure borders are outright lying. They had billions in the bill for border security - just not billions for a wall where people aren't crossing. The truth is President Trump is making our country weaker by allowing the government shutdown to continue - TSA people are not getting paid, and are calling sick. If I understand correctly they all get paid on Friday and... When they don't get a paycheck they will slowly stop working.

Put the money where the problem is, not where Trump wants to build a wall.

It's just a made up number to start. The full amount is $25 Billion, which is what he asked for last year and was denied.
