Mixed Martial Arts.
I went to the gold coast (that's in Australia, in case you're wondering) on the weekend to see a mixed martial arts card. It's called Xtreme Fighting Championship (XFC). Pretty much UFC rules. Only a few differences. No punching/kneeing to the back of the head, and it was in a regular boxing ring, instead of the octagon.
Was pretty awesome though. The highlight of the evening would have to be the main event. Sam Nest (from Brisbane, Australia) and Gordon Bergey. Sam landed a high kick right on gordy's eye, and cut him up pretty good. The fight continued though, and when Gordon took Sam down to the ground for the last time, Sam managed to get a huge right in, right on Gordon's nose. Blood just pissed out of his nose. The ref got the doc in, and unfortunately they called the fight. The reason being "way too much blood." haha. Another good fight was Dave Frendin vs Tony Green. Dave comes out. Tall guy, a bit flabby. Not a very impressive specimen at all. Tony Green comes out. This guy hasn't got a fucking hint of fat on his entire body. His bicep must have been the size of my fucking head. And as everyone suspected, Dave Frendin got quite a beating. Api Hemera Vs Byron Donnelly was an awesome fight too. Both of 'em are sluggers, and they both punched the hell out of eachother for a good 2 rounds. Api won on a TKO when the ref called the fight on the doctor's orders, again. (probably the worst thing about the night was the doctor, he was a little too quick to call the fights, i think. But then again, he's the one with a degree, eh?) All in all. Good fights and a good weekend.

MMA is good stuff :D I like watching how the fight game has evolved over the past ten years or so since the original UFC.
The sport seems to be spreading too. Seems like there are a lot of really good smaller shows poping up all of the time. Great to watch live.

Hell yeah. We had "Super" ringside tickets (meaning we weren't actually ringside. What is so fucking super about that?). We were in the first row of seats. The only people in front of us were the poeple that paid for tables and got a meal and shit. So basically, we were only about a few metres from the ring.
