Find/replace in *nix

Anyone know how to batch find/replace in *nix including sub-folders? I'm simply trying to replace a url in html files with another on mass.

Wondering if grep will do it if so anyone know the correct syntax for doing so?

Thanks

the batching comand for text replace on text files is called "sed". The sintaxys is different depending on what kind of *nix are you running and what version of sed do you have installed.

Try "man sed" and take the correct parameters.

Thanks - looking it up now. Couldn't see how grep would do it on reflection as although you can perform actions that doesn't include replacing stuff.
