So if I'm following everything correctly, in the past year or two, Paxum have used (at least) the following issuers:

TruCash
WireCard
UnionPay

Did I miss anything? What came before TruCash?

Paxum seems to rely heavily on other parties - all sorts of mysterious bank descriptors on my previous wire and EFT withdrawals - so they're probably waiting too. Not much point Ruth reiterating "real soon now" when she may not know herself.

I suspect Paxum is basically a colocated web server, a legal address for company registration (Street View of the address on their website shows it's a UPS store, but there may be an actual office nearby), and a small number of employees that work from home. :2 cents:

We sincerely apologize for the delay regarding the Unionpay card activation.

As mentioned before we have been integrating and testing the Unionpay API after they made changes to it, and based on the latest report from the techs everything should be resolved by the end of this week.

If you already received a Unionpay card please bear with us and you should be able to activate and use it by the end of this week.

Please note, the Unionpay API change also affected the ability to update card status inside Paxum accounts, so it's entirely possible that your card may have already shipped but still shows the printing status.

I'll post another update once I've been given confirmation that everything is completed and live.

With regards to the Trucash issued cards, our legal department is involved in the matter and we are in negotiation with WFCU to try to resolve the situation in the best possible way for affected Paxum clients. Clients are more than welcome to follow the instructions provided by WFCU to return the card, or they can choose to wait to see what our legal department can arrange. We hope to have an update on this very soon.

I was wondering what other card will show up on the list in May, 2020...

I remember the good old days, when you simply pulled your card out of your pocket and paid whenever you wanted. The only frustration was the "service temporary not available" when moving funds from your account to your card.. I was using my old, original Mastercard in Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, UK, France, Hungary, Serbia without any problem, ever. Now, I don't even remember what "using a paxum card" feels like :(

Paxum has a serious communications issue. When EFT was removed, no notice. It just suddenly stopped working. And other issues ..same thing. I have yet to ever receive a single notice from this company. And when the shit was really hitting the fan a few weeks back, paxum Chris used his Twitter account to talk about his birthday and Ruth was radio silence.

They simply seem to not have a clue.

you seem a bit misinformed. We did not lose EFT all together. Just some countries.
As far as my tweet - that was one tweet in between a ton of others answering questions. :)

If only Paxum responded to service questions this quickly.
Chris, fact remains, communications to your customers has been abysmal...aka non-existent. A client should never have to find out that a service has been removed by having it fail. I have yet to receive a single notice from Paxum regarding any of the significant changes.

And I think everyone should be concerned about the loss of EFT's. Paxum was a cash cow to whichever service you were using. But then they cut you free, indicating that you had now become a liability.

Got my UnionPay card last week. Was mailed to me on Jun 5th from Antigua. It shows as Printing 2019-05-07 in my Paxum acct.

So I'm now waiting for Paxum programmer to learn how to implement an API...

Same here. Received it last week, but it shows printing since 2019-05-07.. As a programmer myself, I don't understand what their problem is.. the api docs seem totally straight forward..

I paid for a card with expiry date 2021,
easier to pay for hosting and buy shit in US etc.
but no replacement card for my area now.
They advised me to wait patiently and in the meanwhile i'm more than welcome to use their wire transfer and pay 50 usd fee to receive it on my aruba bank account and then wire it back to USA for another 35 usd fee to pay for a 12usd domain renewal lol.

Luckily I epayments and epayservices work well for now.
