Tech Is it okay to change FHG code for SSL? - GoFuckYourself.com

SpookyCash finally made the somewhat arduous jump to SSL. (Thank you, Mojohost!) We're going through and updating all links to https, but ... I was wondering are there any TGP sites in 2019 which care if an FHG has an HTML change? I know old skool TGP sites a zillion years ago would often autobot knock out submitter galleries for changing the HTML. I have the notion that even then there was less of an issue for free hosted stuff.

Anyone know if there are any TGP sites which will care about either an https redirect from http or changing a link in a gallery from http to https? (Obviously, still carrying all the same affiliate codes.)

Just curious as to why you would change existing galleries?

Redirecting the http to https at the server should handle those, I would think.

Some old scripts might still react to the redirect, not sure how you get around that.

Editing so the links from the galleries are https as well as the galleries themselves. I know I can tell Google to regard all the http as https, but I think it is still better to just make it all the same where possible.

Some scripts are still being finnicky about it but really you should be doing the redirect anyway. Those scripts will need to change.

Indeed. SSL today is a must and if some script can't handle https, it has to be dumped.
