why the cybertuck is pure genius

most trucks in the future will look like this...watch the 10min video...competitors will be forced to move to this design because it is extremely cheap to produce and allows for a relatively small factory to pump out high #...no paint shop...no complex parts...much fewer expensive metal dies...the triangular shapes offer supreme rigidity...tesla currently produces the 1st, 2nd and 3rd safest vehicles in the world...the cybertruck will be the safest yet...it has extreme structural rigidity...

"copy cybertruck or go bankrupt"

It has a lot of potential; but way too early to call it THE winner.

I'm having doubts that it will look like that in the final version.
For one thing it doesn't have windshield wipers or side view mirrors.
Those headlights and taillights might be totally different in the final version.

The shape implies the lowest production costs...watch the video its only 10 min...musk basically check mated other truck producers with this...

Not sure if with such sharp shape they will be able to sell it in EU (pedestrian protection etc). But yes, their main market for such vehicle is of course the USA (not many trucks sold in EU I guess)..

Not a problem with autopilot...tesla leds the way with it...they will fix at least pedestrian detection until the truck comes out...if this was a gas powered car it would cost like 20K...

I'm not talking about pedestrian detection, but the sharp edges etc. At least it doesn't looks like something which could get passed the EU technical harmonisation process (of course I'm no expert, I'm just judging this by the looks of the thing)

Musk mixed up his main passions - e-vehicles and space colonization. So cybertruck may be(and looks like) the first man-driven vehicle on Mars

False, false and false...

Electric cars are not a scam...the raw materials are mined once and used for decades...10 year old batteries are at 90%...new ones will last even longer

Tesla leads the way with autopilot simply because it has the largest fleet on the road...every tesla on the road is collecting data...everybody else is waaaay behind...

The cybertruck is easy to make...again, the cybertruck is easy to make...the easiest vehicle in the last 30 years LOL...it will not be late...if anything, it will be early..

clue for you: Cadillac is owned by the SAME COMPANY that owns general dynamics, which is also gulfstream, and lockheed, trust me when I tell you that Lockheed has better tech than tesla... why do you think caddy has IR for night and heads up display? what ever drug you're using that makes you think tesla has better tech than Lockheed, you better stop using.

caddy has far superior auto pilot. they just don't let cars run on it due to lawsuits. caddys only use it for driver assist

still waiting on the tesla roadster announced 2 years ago

Wrong...data is everything...the more data the better and faster the machine learning...tesla has the most data because it has by faaaaaar the most wheels on the road...also the biggest charging network...nobody comes close in the next 10 years with price/infrastructure/autopilot AT THE SAME TIME...you need to lead in all 3 to dethrone tesla...

do cadillacs collect data on the road and feed it in to a deep learning network? no? didnt think so...tesla is literally years ahead with the auto pilot...tesla has 750.000 vehicles on the road collecting data...how many does cadillac have that are doing the same?...tesla has billions of clocked in miles...

deal with it

..and how do you charge these long lasting batteries ? By pissing on them ? They need a lot of "juice" from fosil fuels to charge, so there is a double trouble.

read this riddle:

what links the battery in your smartphone with a dead yak floating down a Tibetan river? The answer is lithium – the reactive alkali metal that powers our phones, tablets, laptops and electric cars.

funny you should mention that, tesla has a fuck load of solar panels mounted and a shit load of windmills coming...theres this tesla wall thing...most house owners will soon have access to cheap panels...battery tech has decreased in price dramatically and will do so in the next 10 years even more...hyperloop will be powered by solar/wind/battery as well...

the lithium is mined only once and last for decades whilst fossil fuels need to be mined and burned every day...less and less is needed with new battery design...cobalt as well...the new solid state batteries last like 30 years...

total fossil cars on the street will shrink dramatically...some predict 75%+...you use your car only 5-10% of the day...when tesla finishes its autopilot it can turn on 750.000 potential taxis...each owner can have his tesla make him money...the ride will be cheaper than with your own fossil car...hyperloop will be cheaper than public transport and much faster...

elon swings a big dick...

Funny that you live somewhere in the desert along with your solar panels, I am from Canada and also most of the Northern hemispehere has as much use for solar panels as for " tits on the bull" or in your case " batteries inside a dromedary"...

as to the rest there is NO logic to your argument. Read this and weep:

Quote:
While lithion is 100% recyclable, currently economics do not add up to recycle it

Recycled lithium is as much as five times the cost of lithium produced from the least costly brine based process. It is not competitive for recycling companies to extract lithium from slag......

you are right...in 2020 recycling lithium is not economically viable...but a battery lasts 30 years...in 30 years recycling tech will advance...so will batteries...the old ones last 30 years, the new solid state ones last even longer...until then there is plenty lithium...

Average life of most of these batteries ( based on thier amount of use and temperature in the locality) is somewhere between 8 to 10 years or 100 to 150,000 km.

Quote:
Almost all electric vehicle batteries are warrantied for at least eight years and 100,000 miles. Most manufacturers guarantee a certain amount of battery life within that time frame. Eight years or 100,000 miles is a long period of time to warranty a component of the car.Sep
Also EPA estimates that to fully charge 100 kWh Tesla battery takes ( based on efficiency of the source) about 5 gallons ( 22 litres) of fuel oil. There is your double whammy. Tesla on a full charge runs for about 300 Km. About the same distance as my wife' s Audi A4 on the amount of gasoline.
