Who can do (opt-in) mailings?

There used to be a few guys around here that did (opted-in) e-mailings for direct marketing and newsletters, but damn if I can remember who.

Can anyone refresh my memory?

If you have your own email list YNOT Mail can help.

Yeah, I already have my own opt-in list. Just need someone to do the mailings, and deal with removals/unsubscribes.

Setup sendy + aws and do it yourself. Pay Ben $50 to get setup and you will inbox better and cheaper than any other service man.

Lot of them out there who do this. Mailchimp, Sendgrid, Convertkit, Drip, pick one and go.

Some of those don't allow adult (eg. Mailchimp). That's why I was asking for community for recommendations for those that actually work well with adult.

just do it yourself, servers at lease web are cheap, you dont need a monster, the bulk email software is reasonable also, we have had our mailer there for about 10 yrs.. we also use serverbuddies.com to set it up and take care of any issues, they have been great also

Any insight on getting approved for SES in 2020? I've been denied my last 3 times, my sites and explanations of service never seem to pass their requirements.

You aren't able to move out of the sandbox? I presume you read this?

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/request-production-access.html

Tbh it's been so long since I got approved, but as far as I recall I was pretty honest about what was going on. And I started onboarding easyXsites member mails back in the day.

Don't they give you a reason? Just contest it. Open a ticket with support. But it's very important to meet the limits when sandboxed.

Yes I've been unsandboxed on older projects, but over the last few months I tried to get some new companies unsandboxed and was denied every time with this response:

Quote:
We reviewed your request and determined that your use of Amazon SES could have a negative impact on our service. We are denying this request to prevent other Amazon SES customers from experiencing interruptions in service.

For security purposes, we are unable to provide specific details.

If you can provide additional information about how you plan to use Amazon SES, we might be able to grant your request. You can provide this information by replying to this message. In your response, include as much detail as you can about your email-sending processes and procedures.

For example, tell us how often you send email, how you maintain your recipient lists, and how you manage bounces, complaints, and unsubscribe requests. It is also helpful to provide examples of the email you plan to send so we can ensure that you are sending high-quality content.
I had provided an explanation that I had a weekly newsletter signup (pickup artist content) with a double opt in confirmation, and used Sendy to manage my bounces and unsubscribes, and provided the functional website as reference.
