Paxum limited my account

Great week, epayments suspended now paxum blocked my account.
I've been blasting paxum on twitter about their card fiasco and not returning money that was on my old blocked card, and not making the new card available in Aruba
I received a PM from chris@paxum asking for my account details, I send him my account details hoping maybe he could help.
Within 2 days my paxum account was limited:
"Your account is under compliance review. This may take up to 5 business days to complete. You will be notified when the review is finished."

I have read more stories about paxum accounts getting frozen when people talk negatively in public about them.

Not saying that it's the case here but I find it very suspicious that my account got limited pretty much instantly after they asked for my account details

I've just pm'ed and mailed her. I even pussied out and promised to stop bashing them on social media, which makes me sick. But I was kinda counting on paxum funds for some unforeseen medical bills for my youngest kid

1 thing to remember about using services like Paxum

... your money is NOT your money

it's their money, and you can only use it the way they allow you to use it.

This is why they (and all the others) fail and will fail.

It appears your account is currently being reviewed by our compliance department and that is why it is limited.

Our compliance department regularly reviews accounts to ensure everything is in line with our KYC regulations and that there are no TOS violations. We may request additional information or documentation as part of the review.

You should have an update within the next couple of days after the review is completed.

Thanks,

Ruth

Maybe im worried for nothing. But why limit the account for review and not review the account and limit it when you actually find something wrong

That's ridiculous - You can't just stop people getting at their cash on a whim - For some people that is the money they live on - They pay rent, bills and buy food - How the fuck can they do that? - Fucking hell!..

That's like my bank saying they have blocked my account in case I have done something wrong - That's not the way the world works!....

I would certainly be suspicious of the timing as well - Ruth's cool - Chris has always been a funny bugger - He hasn't got Ruth's 'grace' if that makes sense, I can't think of another word for it...

they dont have to though

it's not your money if you're using their service

they'll let you withdraw whatever amount of money allowed per their TOS

paxum rep, is this not correct?

That's what I'm hoping for, but I've read too many stories from people who've had their account closed and no access to their money again. with no other explanation than "Your account was closed due to breach of TOS"

Without defending them, because they are not good with deadlines, maybe you should wait 5 days as written in the message. I really wouldn't want to believe that a serious financial institution would block accounts because of a shared bad opinion.

Also I don't understand why it has to take 5 business days to review ,
I have only 3 programs paying on paxum, streamate & crakrevenue and xlovecash, and since their card doesn't work for me no suspicious card activity or card used for prohibited items/services listed their tos.
Withdrawns are made to bank account in exact name as paxum profile and my passport

When I still had a working card only used it to pay hosting/themes/advertisement.

Still stupidly I have let the payouts accumulate to 10K sitting there, hoping to receive new a working card.

No 2 different persons, Ruth at least took the time to reply, chris ignores my pm's and email so far. Which makes me even more suspicious that my twitter posts addressed at him are the cause. But no point in guessing about that.

In the end it's my own stupid fault for letting that balance accumulate beyond a few 100.
Not the end of the world, I have many programs paying directly to bank account.
It just happens in the most inconvenient week possible

that is absurd.

While you are here - Are the 'reviews' ad-hoc or are they actually based on something, for example an algorithm spots something?..

As I said before people use this money for everyday living, cut it off and it could lead to people getting people into all sorts of trouble.....

Ok then its just an coincidence, still strange to suspend someones account for a week to review it.
Just review it, and when found something wrong suspend it and notify the customer about the suspension and reason and steps to take..

I didnt even get a notification by mail or phone notifying me about the suspension.

Well lets just wait the week, and forgive me that I associate a Paxum week with a month in normal people's terms

Not to defend Paxum, but this happens even with huge international banks. We use some of the biggest banks in for example Hong Kong and Switzerland and plenty of times the accounts get temporarily frozen pending KYC requirements/updates. Very frustrating but a reality in today's financial climate.

Quoted for truth. It's not a porn thing, the customers of new mainstream internet banks experience this quite a lot. The internet is full of such complaints about Revolut for example. They have to do this stuff sometimes to follow the laws.

What happens if the authorities aren't satisfied with their KYC systems? They get shut down - look at the ePayments threads.

If they do the KYC process in a reasonable time (few days in my opinion), it's all good.

I'm not joking when I say this - How much do you need and what does it take to get one off those numbered only offshore accounts? - It's more than I will ever have but it seems some of you guys might fit into that bracket - Lycos has mentioned six figure numbers in the other thread...

I dissagree it's not normal for any bank
yes it's normal to freeze bank accounts that are not KYC compliant.
Its also normal to contact customers beforehand with a deadline if any updates are necessary, if customers fail to comply then accounts get frozen.

basic example from pretty much any banks terms
"We require the most recent bank verified documentation (KYC documentation) Failure to submit complete and clear copies of ALL the required documents will impact on our ability to maintain our banking relationship and to provide our clients with the service they expect. In circumstances where the documentary requirements are not met, we will be forced to place a transactional hold on the bank accounts and/or terminate our banking relationship with the clients."

Freezing an account because it's not compliant is normal
Freezing an account just to review if it's compliant is not normal

Not saying it never happens but normal it isnt

We are stuck with them, which means they can do things to us that normally would not do if there was a fair competition.

I stopped using Paxum 5 years ago. To renew my card, the indian guy on the phone requested that I took a photograph of my passport and DL in front of my home where the house number was visible. Even Ruth was shocked, she followed up but it turned out that's what they wanted.

No updates, Wanted to change payout settings for cambuilder/streamate to wire, they don't do wire to Aruba, so only option left there is cheque.
Camsense good for about 5k per month, Also stopped doing wire to aruba and don't do cheques, They have either epayments or paxum for me, lol.

Why wont people just let me promote some titties in peace

CamSense / CamContacts is a good program, compared to Streamate etc?

For me yes, one of the best earners. they have low payouts starting at 15% up to 25% which probably makes a lot of webmasters hesitant to start promoting. But their customer retention is amazing. Better to have 20% from a customer for a few months/year than 30% over 2 cam sessions. Very lacking in the promotion tools department though if that's important to you

Huh. I remember a couple of years ago when PAXUM dumped all their US sole proprietor accounts on 48 hours notice, citing "long term and strategic" unspecified business reasons, after they had "weighed this decision for a long time". Some random asshole here on GFY asked:

Quote:
Seriously, why would anybody trust them with business payments after this?
And then he said:

Quote:
If you're a business customer who continues doing business with them, you ought to think really really hard about what it says for their loyalty to you and to your business processes, and what it's going to be like when they decide (for whatever reason) to dump all of your business for some unstated non-specific reason on 48 hours notice some random Monday in the future.
Man, that guy looks fuckin' CRAZY now, doesn't he? That rabble-rousing asshole even suggested:

Quote:
I would say non-US customers who receive a lot of affiliate payments ought to consider beginning to move those payments to other methods. You don't want to get caught and screwed by this unconcern for the customer when it's your turn!
What a maroon, huh?

Anyone that leaves any amount in these money services is always a taking a risk because it is guaranteed there will be a time when they get closed down and your funds are gone. None of them will survive eventually.

I have received a wire transfer confirmation from them by email for the full amount.

hope they actually send it.

They didnt give me any more info, but I left a review on trust pilot and there they said my account was closed because I'm in breach of their TOS.

BTW this is from a previous trust pilot review:

Hi
Our compliance department rejected your Wire transfer request for 9,535.45 USD initiated on 2020-02-19 20:26:20

Transaction rejected due to our banking partner's Risk rules..

SO their compliance department who closed my account and initiated the wire transfer, now rejected that same wire transfer.

They are bassicaly stealing my 10K with excuses it seems

I was doing pretty much the same, withdrawing a bit less than 10k each time.

The amounts over 10k attract authorities and banks' attention.

Would a letter of demand by an Attorney help?
And if that doesn't help do I have any other legal options. I really dont just want to let them get away with this.
