Whoever buys it (assuming anyone does lol) won't use it for anything but showing off.

Based on the description I have a feeling most playstation games don't work on it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If this had of happened games would be leaps and bounds ahead to what we now have interesting it is for sale. Emulators would cure my desires.

Correct - this was before the PS. There was a rumour at the time Nintendo were working with Sony on something, but then I think Nintendo canned it and Sony decided they could go their own way and that's how the Playstation happened.
