Non-Adult Video Streaming Question
I want to stream an hour long pre-recorded video at a scheduled time, a bit like a TV shows
EXAMPLE: Starts 8:00pm and if the viewer is 10 minutes late he has missed the first 10 minutes. No start stream arrow in player, no rewind, etc. I've done this years ago using either OBS or Adobe Flash Media Encoder with local vieos (host desktop) to media server / CDN. My problem is that the location I'm at for the next couple of weeks has very damn slow upload speeds. Publishing the video at a scheduled time from my desktop to media server wouldn't work well. What other options do I have - considering it is to be a scheduled one time event / stream, not a normal video site. Amazon or somebody have a service like that? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe my OP wasn't clear. I understand streaming has changed over the years - but plenty of large companies stream at set times. YouTube TV is much like cable TV, with certain shows coming on certain channels at certain times. Hulu (with the Hulu Live option) has same thing. Certain shows run at certain times. AT&T Now, same thing. Streaming package with all sorts of movies and shows, but the channels such as History, Disney, TNT and others run on a schedule showing pre-recorded video. I'm looking for a streaming option / script / APP / system like that. Almost as if it was a channel on a TV system.

Would the video be pre-recorded?
If so, our service offers the option to upload it to our storage and then stream it as a linear broadcast. As we are in the middle of an update, a team member will have to help you with launching the stream at the requested time as this part of the system is currently not available to customers. Get in touch with me if interested and I will be happy to help you.
