Does WOJ still do programming work?

Anyone seem him lately. I have a small php job I need done. An old php script has been broken due to host moving me to a newer version of php. Would like to hire him if he is still around.

Have sent him an email already to the old email I had on file.

Thanks

Or is there anyone else here that is good at php programming? I am using an old car dealer script and it is giving me php errors after my hosting company switched me to a new VPN, I think with a newer version of php. The script is old and is no longer supported by the creator.

If you can't get the script fixed, there are things that can be done from the web hosting side to downgrade the PHP version for an individual site until you're able to. Shoot me a message if you need some guidance on that. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but if it does, no problem.

OK great. I have a support request out to my hosting company. I see they do have the option for it to be set to an old version of php (5.6) instead of the newer versions, but I do have the domain set for that in there, so not sure why it's not working, unless the version it was using before was even older than 5.6.

If they can't help me I will definitely send you an email. Greatly appreciated.

Some older scripts will not work with PHP FPM. Which script is it? I probably have it or have used it.

it was called cardealerscript. It turned out it was not php. My hosting company solved it for me. This is the reason they gave me:

"The error is basically a syntax error due to a newer version of MariaDB (MySQL) being more strict"

Thanks everyone for the help. Glad this site is still around for help like this, even though I don't visit regularly anymore.

This will probably do it...

In my.cnf, add :
sql_mode=

and restart mariadb

Most likely by default newer mariadb has STRICT_TRANS_TABLES enabled.

I tried to email Woj a couple of weeks ago and did not get a response either. So no telling what he's up to.

Yeah he kindly updated his tools to the newer version of PHP I had when I migrated to Mojo late last year. He's still around

Woj, if you're readin this, I love you, but, you were the most difficult person (not just programmer) I've ever dealt with in my life. And I've been around a long time.
