Thanks man I guess I deleted something when I was cutting and pasting. Good as new now!

Short answer yes the robot.txt files are SE friendly... if you want them to be.

It is affiliate's choice, you can set it in "Analytics & SEO" page of the site configuration there is a checkbox to "Allow robots to index the site".
