Well Fargo settlement checks sent disguised as junk mail.

I get Mondays mail..usually junk mail day. Throw away flyers as such. A smaller than a postcard, thinner than one, return font almost illegible..can't underestimate how easy I could have trashed it.
But I didn't. It was a mini size check for $69.44 from Wells Fargo.

More than a year ago I filed because I had an account with them, but had long forgotten about their scam.

How many checks are being tossed and never cashed.

The link below shows what I received..it looks bigger in the picture..scumbag fucks stole my identity to profit and admitted it by sending me a check.

Typical Big Business.. They always seem to find a way to take the piss, even when they have been caught bang to rights.

The other side of the story is they try to make it less of a target for theft. Not really a great idea to have large prints on the cover saying "this letter contain money, please dont steal"

You have to see the size and look of this mail. The check inside is 3.5x 5 in. I see what they tried to do. Thanks POO.

Bull shit. First, trying to cash a check with my name and address on it is hard as fuck. Find a rusky and spend $7500 for a weak ID to match? Deposit in your bank? Bottom line is they hoped is would get trashed.

From your link:

This junk mail was NOT from Wells Fargo, but from Fowler, et al v. Wells Fargo Bank N.A.
So the ones who sent you that miniature check are the sleazy lawyers who represented the plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, not Wells Fargo.

That is how I see it as well. It's the sleazy lawyers(Fowler) who won the case against Wells Fargo, that are distributing the money - hoping he dont cash in the check so they can keep the leftovers.

@DeadFidel You seemed stressed out - relax man - go out and get some fresh air and sun

Fair enough. A sadder aspect is that this was a burial account only to be touched when I'm dead. Who the fuck knows what they did with it.

The Pay to the order in the window would tell me it wasn't junk mail. What did you expect, a sticker on it?

The simplicity and size of it was my original objection to the way they sent it. You're a smart man... Once I OPENED it I knew what it was, I got lucky.

AND how many checks have "THIS IS A CHECK" written on them?

Taking a step back..that reply is so early fucking GFY!..2004 Las Vegas we met early during a domain name auction...you were formidable to your expectations. We spoke for a reasonably nice time and it added to your respect here. I know we are red/blue, but it doesn't matter, I always gave you a pass.

I just made an observation.

The math is crazy. Don't have time now..gotta walk dog..all good.

The parcel had NO window, it was completely opaque. I placed the ccbill mail in view to show perspective to this topic.

I made some inquiries today that led to research. Just following up.

The math doesn't work.

But less than 3.5. You win by reading a measuring device.
