Anti Pornhub campaign is not fighting against illegal content, but against Porn Industry in general

The anti Pornhub campaign was initiated by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and Exodus Cry / TraffickingHub, which, according to the Pornhub administration, is not fighting against illegal content, but against Porn Industry in general.

We must prepare for destroing all Porn Industry

Just remaind how Internet Gambling Industry was crushed the same way in 2006

Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006

I would be happy if we just went back to how it was - We stayed under the radar, the husbands paid good money for good porn and the wives knew it - They knew it, but ignored it...

I see references to PornHub in mainstream every day - It needs to be men's "Dirty Little Secret" again - Let the wives take the win.....

You think American's stopped gambling? - They didn't - They will not stop wanking either...

Sure, but Visa and Matercard just stop all "porn" transactions
There will be main problem...

Once the 'wives' stop complaining it will stop being an issue...

The biz won't need to push the limits, that's what gets us in trouble with the mainstream.....

Send it back underground where it belongs...

Pornhub is the biggest thing in porn because it has the most content along with the other big sites. Once it's not another site will take its place and the traffic will follow.

All the scardy cats crying doom and gloom are just overreacting. The very worse is porn goes behind a payment barrier of some kind and the death of free porn will mean millions will have to pay for it.

When I started out in the UK, (early 70s) it was completely 100% totally illegal. Huge fines and prison sentences for the creation and distribution of pornography...

If I told you the money I used to make back then, you would NOT believe me...

Good Times

Again the issue becomes: how to enforce ANY US-based law when these companies are not based in the US?

Thats the main point.

It always feels like many US people forget that and think if something happen in their country, it has a effect for the whole world. But the world don't care...

Even blocking websites for the own country has no real impact - every dumb ape can use a proxy and in 5 min you are a citizen from the country of your needs.

Even if something crazy would happen and porn in general would be forbidden in USA - areas like europe would never ever follow that. I mean in Germany for example we have sex workers who get paid by goverment to serve sexual needs for handicapped people.

No (real) democratic country will be able to fight porn. Never ever.

For as long as there are men and women, men will want to see naked women doing dirty things.

And for as long as there is some way to depict a naked woman doing dirty things using some form of media, be it online video or cave drawings, there will be porn.

You can't go against human nature. Some people need to learn this.

VISA and MC are American companies and it seems they can easily push websites to comply

Clearly you do not understand how the world really works. I'm going to write it out in plain simple words, as best as I can.

USA dictates the rules, as it affects the people residing in the United States. The same United States has Trade Pacts (Treaties) with most countries of the world. Those country to country agreements include provisions that require local compliance by the authorities inside the respective foreign country. The US can demand enforcement of US rules by the government where the foreign citizen is residing or business is located. Enforcement is managed many ways. Freezing of accounts, arrest and extradition, etc. Should the foreign government refuse to act on the enforcement, they are in breach of that agreement/treaty/pact, and can risk normal business trade, suspension of Visa free travel to US, etc.

If a non US company makes its products or services available to the Americans, they are responsible to comply with US laws, when its the Americans viewing or consuming the product or service.

Hopefully its more clear now.

Bullshit.

No site gets big because Google sent them there. The site has to stop the customer from leaving to get big.

Well said.

The strength of the adult internet lies with the following in this order.

Customers
Providers
Content producers and models
Programmers and designers.
Affiliates.

Before anyone accuses me of targetting anyone. Which affiliates cried over the decline of sites, models, content producers etc?

Very well stated indeed. The free trade agreements were a nice touch.
Be legal and prosper.

It is my belief the attacks have spread to the industry as a whole simply because the industry as a whole does not wish to comply with proposed changed and changes already in effect.

the intent is to shift the dirty from your pocket... to theirs. Who is theirs?? Look at the people who injected the policy into a covid bill. Thom Tillis who is republican by name only... RINO.

So yeah, Larry would probably find a way .
But can he afford such a big investment?

A few anti-semitic religious nuts and radfems vowing to remove all porn from the internet bring down the biggest site in the world in a matter of months.

GFY : 'Yeahhh. This should increase our conversion ratio!'.

American senators propose a bill that would make adult sites nearly impossible to operate.

European GFY : 'Yeahh. This should increase our conversion ratio!'.
