The reason the pay per click is so low as XXXclusive pointed out is producers got paid a % of what the site was earning based on the number of views their videos received before they lost processing this was around $30 per 1,000 views it is now less than $6 per 1,000 views because they are not able to bill anyone

It is very possible this number could go down to zero before they get back billing on PHP and I am actually anticipating this, but I am confident that they will get back billing, and when they do they will do their best to take care of producers who have supported them.

I started in this biz after the rise of the tubes. So any of my content that is on tube sites it is there because I gave them that content. Anything I didn't give them, as affiliates, come down via DMCAs.

So I view the tubes as my affiliates, not pirates. They have traffic and I need traffic to stay in business. Thus: partners.

While I agree with most of your points I disagree with the highlighted text. Producers have been "flagrantly posting hardcore images" since the TGP days and before. It is NOT legal Producers who were the cause of PH's problems. No, it was illegal "user uploaded" content that went unregulated until advocates and alleged victims cried out in protest and sued. Then MC/V took notice and pulled processing.

Again, the blame is NOT on legal content producers who follow the law. Working with tubes today is not the same as it was in pre-2007 (before I really started). So for those of us with a more recent past our views are simply that a valued affiliate has lost revenue and it is trickling down in a negative way to us. I don't feel like I "deserve" this since it was not my content that caused these problems.

Whatever beef people have with the tubes is old news, long over, the past and NOT how things are today in 2021.

This attack on entire porn industry is directly caused by these tubes, specifically their long term ignorance and absolute lack of responsibility - and that is a result of nothing but their greed. It was their utter greed which led them to build their traffic on piracy and tolerating borderline content (which attracts more audience) while hiding behind the "user uploaded content" excuse. If you are so connected in this industry then your ass should know damn well why content on tubes isn't moderated without reports. Hint: Same reason YouTube content isn't.
