Low class journalism is the norm when the subject is an athlete

When a major media outlet uses a headline with "jock" in it, I'm like why not also use "slut" when it fits too?

It's low class to refer to an athlete as a jock.
It's a low class remark that's not as harmful as a racial slur, yet it's used in the same manner.
