I am sure this isn't very PC, but why is it only Americans that suddenly dessert their Olympic teammates?

Yeah, I know, we are supposed to praise how brave Simone is for dropping out of her events, but I cannot help but believe that in 20 years she is going to kick herself in the ass and be filled with doubt about whether or not she could have won.

If she continued then they would not have won the silver.

Just terrible is how I'm being treated, the government only gave my company 22k and is sending me a pissy $1500 a fortnight, which is nothing when you consider the unemployed are getting a $200 a week covid bonus. Japan doesn't allow the medication she uses in their country. While he didn't have proof, there were several stories that make it seem like she is struggling because she hasn't been able to take her meds while there.

Either way, she is one of the all-time greatest gymnasts (maybe the best), if she decides stepping down is the best thing to do, I'm going to trust her.

Who knows, that was reported before the "great cancel" by those still watching to root against their own.

Likely linked to the decline in most TV ratings that's been happening since the pandemic started. The Olympics specifically has been steadily declining in viewership for years. Throw that in with the pandemic decline, you start to understand why I wasn't even aware the Olympics started until a certain demographic started crying about it.
