Cambuilder / Streamate - Care to explain these fubar'd stats?

100 Days ago I began a small A/B test on one of my Cambuilder WhiteLabels (they have a nifty little tool for that exact purpose). I think the results of my test speak for themselves.

It's interesting that my little WhiteLabel (that nobody is promoting except me) has done $1804 in gross revenue and I'm being credited for only $813. The number of Joins and New Spenders seem to be in line. But not the revenues.

Anyone from Cambuilder care to explain? Gave you a chance to clear it up 3 weeks ago... and you said it was a "bug."

Which program are you on? Don't they pay out the 30% AFTER they have recouped their cost on the pre-pay options?

Aw... Should have mentioned that in the OP. I'm using the plain 35% Lifetime Revshare program. So there shouldn't be any hold back at all. It should be a flat 35% on all sales.

Sidenote: I didn't want to surrender my domain to them (as is required with any of their other payout programs) – that's why I opted for the plain 35% Lifetime Revshare.

Yes I understand the hesitation to transfer domain ownership as I was in the same boat. I opted to buy domains and just transfer them to them as I can understand their stance in the pre-paid scenario.

Yuval will get you taken care of I am sure, he has been great to work with. Good luck! Please let us know what transpires.

Here's the prompt explanation I received from Yuval at Streamate.
Quote:
Here's the reason for what you're seeing - its not a real bug its just that a/b testing was designed differently and thus shows higher numbers. Why? Because ab testing shows everyone who spent on your site even.if they login with a user created in another white label in which case you don't get credit. The affiliate with the white label where the user initially created the account gets the credit. Its an input we need to change it the ab testing but its not easy to change. It requires deep code change it our system. I know its confusing. The revenue on total stats is the real spending of users created on your white label and spending on your white label of other white labels they used with same account.
Bottom line is you got 35% of the money spent by your members. The number on ab test is not entirely from your members. We will be fixing it but its not a quick fix. I apologize for the confusion.
Thank you, Yuval. Appreciate the follow-up.

That would explain why the Joins and New Spenders stats match up correctly but the revenues appear to be off.

I guess it just amazes me that these members jump back and forth randomly between different WhiteLabel sites. ...and they evidently don't mind entering their login credentials on sites/domains they've never even visited before. Pretty insane if you ask me.

I read it several times and he did mention that the original location of signup is where the credit is given. So yes, amazing that totally unrelated sites people are visiting and logging in with credentials from another site... even more amazing is that you own them both!

He doesn't own them both, the user spending on his white label already had a streamate account created elsewhere. What happens often is the user will hit your white label and attempt to create an account and is alerted by the system that they already have an account and can login with their previously created details.

Yes. Correct. That is what Yuval is telling me. He sent this follow up email a few hours after the one I posted above.

Quote:
What happens is the try to register to the new, site with their email and we tell them.they already have an account wuththat email. At that point they either remember the password or get it in the email, or in rare cases they'd use a new email and then you do get credited

Even more surprising are webmasters that enter their passwords to join CCBill affiliate programs.
