Reddit user advising people to join porn sites then claim a refund

that is not what the post on reddit is doing and you would know that if you bothered to read it, well, maybe you don't know how to read, so there is that

dude posted that he joined a trial for a buck, got charged 2 bucks, double what he thought it was going to cost him, then found out that the pay site they joined cost money per scene which is not what he expected, so he canceled

after he canceled he found out he also got charged for a $35 cross sale which he had not expected and then he canceled that

he did not "advise people to join and then cancel" in any manner that i could see, but then of course, i read the thread and i do know how to read, so there is that

It's actually a good post - I think that every site owner should read it. Here is a real customer expressing his real experience with a site. The site's sales page did a good job of converting that visitor into a paying customer and he probably would have remained a good customer had the cancelation procecure not been so bad.

did you read it? because at the point he found out he was going to have to pay for each individual video is when he decided to bail

he was led to the site with a certain expectation and ended up being presented with something totally different

if there is any lesson for marketing in there it is to be honest in what you promise

Of course. The site should deliver what is promised. It's also possible that the membership only included X,Y and Z and that the clips he wanted cost extra, and that this was indicated, we don't really know. What I am saying is that the cancelation link should always be really easy to find.

I read a title, answered without clicking the link, this is ok to do. Many forums do not even allow outside links, in this case, would have to accept what the OP has wrote or read...
