Processing Fees Not Showing on Receipts.
Most companies paying us for sending traffic to their sites through their affiliate program charge various "processing fees" or "payout fees". This is regardless of payment methods.
Can anyone tell me why these fees, although deducted from the earnings, don't show up on invoices these companies generate on our behalf? For example, company A generates an invoice showing $100 earnings in commissions. Invoice reads $100. You receive $99. It looks like the "processing fees" are charged by the payment processor to company A who in turns offset part or all of the fee by deducting the amount from the earnings. I am not concerned that they charge fees but I am wondering why these doesn't show up in the receipts/inv. Shouldn't the invoice read as follow? : - service rendered $100 - subtotal $100 - processing fees $1 - total: $99 Note: I am not talking about fees charged to us by payment processors, I am talking about fees charged to THEM by payment processors. |
