There IS another up-to-date version of GFY in existence - But the testing was done a couple of years ago, so I'm sure that if the powers that be felt it was warranted, it would have been deployed by now

we spend a lot of time on UI. upgrading it, testing it, fixing it, educating users. its nice to use an old and reliable UI sometimes.

I got a chance to test the xenforo version of GFY. It ain't the same vibe.

Also, GFY is over 20 years old. That's a lot of data to migrate, which may be damn near impossible without breaking shit at this point.

Would be nice if they added the mobile suite tho.
