Google's April Update - How did you Fare?
I'm not sure if adult is included in how Google update's it's algo. This month the update was focused on reviews apparently. But I"m seeing big drops again - steadily since last year no matter what I do.
Do you think "G" is full of it and just calling these updates "review" updates or spam updates etc, just to make us believe they are focused on user experience when in reality their algo is based on what makes them money? I'm hearing a lot of adult webmasters losing traffic steadily. But, lots of mainstream ones too, big sites that have nothing to do with reviews. How did you guys fare? |

Every time when someone open a thread about google changes, first thing what i do i to check rankings on first porn keyword , which is porn. Looks same as before when i checked it last time . Tho i noticed one thing - it seems google now on default is turning safe search, and when you turn it off keyword pussy is no longer censored as before when you would get only mainstream results even with safe search off. Do you see same ?

Cams traffic seems lower, dating seems up... seems like a push.

Also, many different adult keywords are being shown mainstream results. |

A lot of searches seem to have been cleaned up in terms of their results. Many webcam searches except for those with explicit porn terms are now all YouTube, Wikipedia and Reddit results.

An adult site can have all the authority in the world with 2 million quality backlinks. But if Google doesn't want to give adult searches to adult sites, then it doesn't matter. Not the same in mainstream. |
