![]() Okay... not sure if anyone has been following the latest season... but is the treasure the show itself? I mean, at this point there are so many viewers:
Key Facts The season premiere of "Curse of Oak Island" on Nov. 7 was watched by 2 million people on cable news, and the audience has only grown since, Nielsen data shows. The 11th season's third episode, which aired Nov. 21, was the most-watched of the season so far and broke into the top 10 most-watched cable programs of the week with 2.4 million viewers, making it the most popular cable show on television for the day by a margin of almost 400,000 people—the only cable shows that out-rated it the week of Nov. 20 were Fox News programs, NFL and college football games and a Hallmark holiday movie. Now, thing is... why would the producers of the show WANT the treasure to be found quicker? If anything, they should draw out the digging, have some problems, poke more around the rest of the island. Hell, maybe they should do a strip-mine like excavation that would take several years, then with every little piece of pottery or iron they find, take it to their war room and then discuss it. Drag it out like "The Simpsons" to 25+ seasons where Rick is old and grey and whispers "boots and eyes" and then senile Marty sniffs a block of wood and says "keep digging", season 26 starts and Alex Lagina takes over the dig.
