OK so I decide it would be a wonderful bonding thing if I coached my 10 year old daughters softball team. So far, this is how things have gone.

1. My daughter tells me about two weeks into the season "Mother, (that's my name when she's pissed at me) how humiliating for you to be my coach.
2. I thought I would be the fun coach and decide to race one of the girls from 3rd base to home plate. Going good i'm not running real fast since she's over 20 years younger than me and I didn't want to beat her too badly. I get 2 feet from the plate and my damn knee went out and I rolled across home plate taking out about 5 girls with me.
3. The constant drama of I hate her, I hate myself, blah blah blah.
4. Have a double header last night that started at 6, no big deal but we didn't get finished til midnight due to having to play overtime. During these two games I had one girl cry because she had to take her earrings out, one girl cry because she got hit with the ball, one girl almost knock the ump out when she threw her bat, 4 girls fighting in the dugout over an alleged rumor, one girl crying because I took her out so she could rest (she's the catcher and it was about 105 and I was afraid she would have a heat stroke) and to top it all off the pitcher made a really bad play in the last inning causing the winning run to score for the other team and she threw a temper tantrum and accused another girl of losing the game.

I should have known what dealing with 15 ten year olds was going to do to me.

well i'm afraid I can't quit. Wouldn't send the right role model type message to the girls. Faking my death would be cool but don't have enough life insurance. As far as girls not playing sports. Fuck you, lol, I played softball for 26 years and even played co-ed when I became an adult. I was the only female that could play shortstop against these men. Went to 4 world tournaments, 8 national tournaments and my team placed in all of them. Was offered a full ride to a big university to play but took the academic scholarship instead. So I guess I shouldn't have played huh?

Softball isnt a real sport, thats why they are crying all the time. Get them playing football or something.
