I need a good DVD Ripper ::::

Saw a post a while back and someone had suggested "SuperDVD Ripper" - which I got but am not happy with. First off, there is hardly any documentation on how to run this program and the big problem is that I can't figure out how to copy the whole DVD - it only will let me select one scene at the time - which sucks.

Can anyone suggest a good DVD Ripping software that'll let me rip "a whole" DVD and then burn it to a regulard CD (CDR)?

laterz,

Dean*

Be smart invest $159 in a dvd burner and stop wasting your time with cd's.

Besides you should be buying your dvds as I get most dvds at $14.99 and then get older ones on special at $4.99 to $7.99

Hell even used online they are $7-9 for a dvd.

The best DVD ripper hands down is DVDx
It's freeware but the developer's website forces you to buy a "VIP" Pass to get access to the download site- luckily however there are dozens of sites that still let you download for free... A Kazaa search would also find a lot of available DVDx downloads.

Current version I believe is 2.20

I like and use smart ripper.

But to do direct copy to VCD or SVCD, use VcdEasy:

http://www.vcdeasy.org/

It takes a while, but the encoding is amazing...

No - I joined a program similiar to NetFlix which rents sports related DVD's and I just want to make a copy of them for my own use. I want to be able to copy them to my hard drive and then write them to regular CD. I know that the quailty will not be as good - but that's OK. Not looking for DVD quality -
