I wonder if a strip club would do well with an internet kiosk built into the tables -- the girls could sit down and upsell memberships to the club's website, or her own site, right then and there. I would think a lot of guys would jump all over that.

Anyone know if this has been done? Are there laws against it?

I have some money to invest, anyone wanna try it?

Some club arround here tried that . Didn't do too good . They lost 200 grands on that shit . But they had only local promo so they couldn't make enough $ ... They should have gone international

Most strippers I know didnt have the patience for online stuff. They have worked guys in person since they were 18 and thats the easiest way for them.

Sure the guys want the girls when they get home, that hasnt changed.

Sounds good except that why would someone want to watch a screen when they can see it live in front of them?

I also think that if these people are watching the screen and not the dancers, that the girls will loose $$$ in tips and that is how they earn their living....

I have a site I could use a little help on if you really want to make an investment.

No i'm just saying lots of guys are afraid to go to a strip club or be seen at one... some guys are even afraid of germs and shit (crazy I know). I don't know why anyone would want to pay look at some .JPEG files when all the girls are dancing around you for free... the internet is the last thing on my mind...

we just figured out why the internet kiosk idea won't work -- because the club owners don't want to show their true traffic and income -- and the local counties would never allow it once they realize they aren't getting tax revenue from it

also most clubs are in poorer areas of town, not like they are wired for highspeed internet access

and the girls don't want daddy to know they are stripping, they think that as long as they are 20 miles from home, no one will ever know

I think I just saved myself a lot of money

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt .

The problem is you need a pretty high traffic club to make it pay off, or in a tourist spot where members are willing to go.

The girls are pretty smart about this, they understand what sells. They'll push it if you give them the tools.

Most strip club owners are clueless about the internet. I'd only want to try it again if I actually owned the club, so that I can control everything. If you got enough to buy a club, let's talk.

you would have to go to the nicer clubs and just tour them all, not a fixed location and you could bring your own internet

You get about 1/5 to 1/10 ratio that will appear on the internet. But a decent club will have a fair number of girls coming through every week so you get fresh faces.

We shot 50,000 photos and a ton of video in about 6 months working for a strip club, and we could have done more. I think the moneys there if you know what you're doing and you're in control.

Good decision lightspeed as an ex strip club manager I can Tell you this most guys in the club wouldnt look at a computer if you strapped it to his head. I also dont believe there is just not enough patronage in most to warrant it.

I know the most famous strip club here in Tampa "Mons Venus " dosnt make much with their site.
I always wanted to see strippers promote thier own sites. The problem is most club-owners do not want to see the girls make money out of the club. If they make it on the web they dont come grind cock at the club.

Thats not what he was talking about if you get a club owner to relinguish control and let you basicly shoot "real world style" you could make a killing

A very interesting idea. Tho, a hard sell to clubs.

I came up with a fingerprint scan VIP check system that a bouncer could use to validate VIP and special guests using a digital fingerprint scanner and a wireless pocket PC.

Helps to get rid of writing names on papers, don't have to rely on VIP plastic cards since people can loan or steal them.

Visited some clubs and they thought it was a great idea. Offered to GIVE the software to a club, but they had to PAY for the hardware (computer, wireless hub, pocket pc, etc) and they didn't want to buy the hardware.

Club owners are cheap and usually not technologically advanced as the webmaster community.

You have to pitch each one to pay money for the kiosk, or even if you give them the kiosk, they won't want to pay for the net connection, and if you also pay for the net access, then they'll just say you are taking money away from the girls....

the kind of streaming video clips they are used to is the 25 cent peepshow you watch behind the curtain..there's your broadband babeee

Interesting thread Steve. Here in LA strip clubs may be facing very hard times if you excuse the punn. A new ordinance is up before the city council that would create a 6 foot rule. Meaning that any dancers must be six feet away from any customers at all times. This would do away with lap dances which is where the clubs make most of their money.

If this law takes root in LA, one of the most liberal areas in the country, it will spread throughout the country quickly.

I had a similar idea but using Pre Paid membership cards
Have a site created for the girls at the club and personal pages of each of the girls.

Here is the scenario

Hot stripper dances for a guy. Stripper try's to sell a pre paid card to the guy to get full access of her and other girls from the privacy of the home online.

Main problem was that most strip club owners don't really understand the potential profits of the internet. and most of the girls do not want to be online. Pictures online are there forever, stripping is only temporary.

or, a slight variation, arrange the show up in a nice package, and share it via P2P... let the p2p sharers deal with bandwidth, you can place ads in the clip, etc..
