Hollywood's Hottest (celeb content) sued by 5 studios for $6 million

Studios clamp down on nudie compilations

Hollywood's Hottest Body Shots, Hollywood's Hottest Before They Were Famous and Hollywood's Hottest Love Scenes have all been made available for your perverted pleasure and had managed to stay under the studios' radars until now. Breaching more copyright laws than the MPAA can shake a subpoena at, Radioactive has been slapped with a lawsuit by Universal, Fox, MGM, Paramount and Orion Pictures, all demanding that the tapes be destroyed and seeking $6 million in damages.

"Suffice it to say that the studios will likely own the Radioactive management's houses, cars, family pets and immortal souls by the time this lawsuit's over. "

If they just have certain scenes from the videos and have commentary to go along with them, then this should fall under "fair use". Of course, going against the MPAA you would need a lot of money and lawyers even if what you are doing is legal.

I saw this coming the first time I saw the commercial. It seemed too good to be true, too easy...

and true, they needed better commentary, ex: " Reese Witherspoon sure has nice fuckin tits doesn't she?'

"The tapes had gone unnoticed by the actresses portrayed in them, sold only through late night television ads during male-friendly programme's like the Howard Stern Show. Sleazy clips accompanied lines like: "your favorite superstars doing the nasty in ways you've never heard of." Classy."

And leave fucking Howard out of this. What about MrSin?

Their marketing probably won't help them when they try to claim it's "fair use". Like you said, even if they could eventually win, how much will it cost to fight five movie studios?
