the free trials going away.

Revshare to me seems like the best place to be.

If you have a second...please let me know your major objections to trying revshare

oh im all about revshare now.

ill never join a ppj program again.

i get rebills every single day and man i love those.

they build up with time as well, the longer you send, the more you get.

but anyone that can give me reasons why they wouldnt join a revshare program, that is what im after, so i can figure out why

true money upfront is good.

but if a company has been around and keeps growing and offers a revshare, it is really a chance to share in that companies good fortune

good business not greedy business.

i think someone has that as their slogan but im not sure who.

My rule of thumb is I ask myself "Would I stay a member of this site?" If the answer is yes, then revshare - if not get the quick payout and be happy.

thank you, this is the kind of input i am looking for.

yes members areas need to be taken care of. regular updates are important.
this is basically a trust issue, you need to trust that the people running the revshare company, like ours are interested in making as much money as possible as well.

i can say i know we are interested in keeping people as members for as long as possible.

so..to recap concerns

1. money upfront
2.members areas-updates, quality of content, nature of content
3. please add more, i want to hear it all

The biggest problem that I know of with revshare is that it is hard to convince webmasters that it is better in the long run. Alot of webmasters are barely scraping by, and they have bills to pay RIGHT NOW. They just don't have time to wait for those recurring payments to build up. Yes, revshare can be great to build up big recurring income, but alot of webmasters just can't afford to give it a try.

And many of them just can't understand that one member at a one time payout of $30 makes less money than one member at $15 a month that stays for 4 months. It's twice as much money, but they can't see past one month.

I personally got into webmastering because I was in a bad relationship and had no education, no money, no job and I didn't even have a car to GET a job. We lived in a rural area with no bus system and to take a taxi several miles to and from work with my kids and pay for daycare would have cost as much as I would have brought in. I couldn't afford to wait on revshare recurring to come in, I needed money right away.

PPS is a great way to bring in some income, and once a webmaster is comfortable with their temporary income level, they can switch to recurring for long-term income if they want to.

Of course, revshare is also good to get into if you're webmastering part-time because your job pays your bills and you can build up the long-term recurring income so that you're somewhat secure when you finally decide to quit the day job and webmaster full-time.

Good idea to ask for a pass first and check out the members area(s) for yourself - If you like it, you will feel comfortable pushing it - if it is a simple plug in site - You won't

is it fair to say that as with most things people could optimize their payouts by using a mix of recurring and ppj

say 60% of their traffic to ppj, to get the rent and such, and then pushing revshare with the other 40% to start the ball rolling.

once the rebills start kicking in, you are hooked, i love getting paid on joins i got months and months ago

The webmasters are suspicious about revshare programs and they have their reasons. I'm one of them. I've tried many small paysites in the past. Very few of them brought rebills. You can only imagine what their members areas have...

Sorry if this already has been posted, but here's my braindump on revshare vs ppj.

First of all, to make money, you will need money. For the starters PPJ is the way to go to make some good cash and thus to start their business.

On the other half, revshare is a more steady income if you're promoting it for a year or so. The rebills will go on in the summer when it's hard to get a PPJ sale.

For me i'm promoting both. The PPJ to get some good fast cash, and the revshare part because of the retention some joins have. I've seen retentions of upto a full year, if you're calculating that that would be about $150 for just 1 single join.

okay i know i am spamming but i wanted to touch on your point regarding the small paysites

everybody has their growing problems, the key is to recognise and be proactive about it.
when we first launched we had only tested our sites with high converting traffic, and trials to memberships and monthly rebills were not as high as we had expected

So we changed stuff around and now we update our prime sites 3 times a week which has really helped a lot.

Bangbus is updated weekly. We spent the past year shooting new bangbus episodes all over the world with girls no one has ever seen (and no one will ever shoot again, actually). We have shot 100+ new episodes...basically two straight years worth of updates. And the recurring on bangbus is just great.

Yes thats exactly what im thinking.

I cant tell if I would join it, but you can rather quickly see in your own point of view if its a good membersarea (if you now what to look for), then go for revshare.

If its a bulk membersarea like those the big sponsors have and nothing really special that most surfers obviousily is looking for , then go for pps.

Only a very low percent of surfers will stay after the 3 day trial because the site is just like all the others.

I wonder how many just signs up for a site jerks off and then ends the membership??

Here's a story:

I started adult in late 98. Worked with the Netverifier AVS and made a few sites for them as a reseller. On average was between $1,000 - $5,000 in sales per month with them (inc rebills). In June 2002, I completely left the business. Took down all of my sites.

Netverifer still paid me my rebills the whole time. I was getting between $200 - $300 in rebills per month with them even six months after being out of the business. Today, what, about 18 months later I still recieve approximately $150 in old rebills form them each month.

Assume avg $200 * 18 mo = $3,600 while being out of the business. Not bad.

But PPS is nice especially when there are questions about the stability of a company or it's integrity.
