Isn't TMPGenc an encoder - not an editor?
I'm not sure you can edit MPEG without quality loss - as whatever you do you are going to end up having compressed it twice - because you will be editing something that has already been compressed once and when you save your changes you'll be compressing it again. Depending on what you need to do you may be better off decompressing to AVI or something - editing - and then recompressing. You will still be compressing twice - but if you have a lot of editing to do this may be a better way to go to try and preserve some quality... IMO anyway... You would be far better off with the original footage really rather then messing in a compressed format. |
