I can think of a few. SwapBucks.com has a solution where you just install their software on your computer and it makes you money as a P2P node.

Also, there are companies out there that will pay you money to use your processing power and memory during your computer's idle time. They use P2P networks to perform complicated computing tasks. I don't know the names off the top of my head but a little searching will find it.

Very good reply, Rick Latona, but do you think you could provide some URLs for that? I have some unused 600mhz computers standing around that I could hook up to the network and whore out all day. ;)

I suppose it makes sense though, seeing how some companies make good money leasing out computer power for graphical rendering, data analysis, and similar tasks.

I've used swapbucks before. And its been 2 months so far and no indiction of any such payment. They never reply to their emails, they seem like a big unreliable company
